Awesome track jacket. Love i/o bio., February 18, 2010
This review is from: I/O Bio Men's Merino Wool Track Jacket (Apparel)
The other review is totally bogus and I am not sure what he is talking about with the pilling/cheap effect. The jacket fits great in XL with really nice long arms and the fit is perfect for someone like me who is 6'3 and 180 pounds. It is a really nice weight and I have no quality issues at all. I also like the tighter scuba neck. Great product and great price. IO Bio is technical gear so tends to run about a size tighter than one would normally wear. I am usually a large and all the IO Bio jackets I own are XL.

Awesome Merino Track Jacket, January 6, 2012
This review is from: I/O Bio Men's Merino Wool Track Jacket (Apparel)
After being somewhat confused by two entirely different reviews, I bought one to my own liking and decision.
The hood is very soft and after wearing it in the field, I found that it was indeed anti bacterial. I wore it for a total of four days without removing it while in Death Valley as my base layer. The zipper that zipped up all the way had a lil pocket at the top so it would not scuff my chin.
Style wise, I liked it very much. It was simple with white stitching with a patch on one arm between elbow and shoulder.
As this product is merino, I can wash it normal with warm or cold in the washer. The part we have to keep an eye on is the drying. It needs to be tumbled dry low or line dried. If it is dried on HIGH, the surface of the fabric has some pilling due to the heat melting some elastane fibers and showing up. It is 96% merino a and 4% elastane. The elastane is there to give it the "track jacket" shimmer look.
My only beef with this jacket is the sizing. I usually wear a medium, but with it being a base layer, I decided to go with a small. Even tho, I ordered the small, the jacket was extremely baggie. The io bio website was very misleading. Their models must be at least 6'4" or something. All of their jackets fit snugly around them, which was what I was expecting. Instead, despite my athletic build, it fit me like a rapper in a 90s music video.

Cheap material!, November 28, 2009
This review is from: I/O Bio Men's Merino Wool Track Jacket (Apparel)
This jacket is absolute garbage. It looks nice right out of the box, but after a couple of days use you start noticing the little fuzz balls all over it. The material it's made of is very thin, seemingly cheap and, worst of all, it starts quilting up in no time flat (or whatever it is you call that "fuzzing up" some cheap materials do). Seriously, for what I paid for the &%$#! thing, I expected better. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!
