I feel like I want to share our experience.
My wife was in a car accident. Her knee swelled, was hurting and was making a popping noise when she was climbing stairs. The x-rays showed accumulation of fluid. No remedies were working and the situation was stagnant. She could not go to work. After about one week we got Actipach and my wife started using it immediately. 25 minutes after she placed the device on her knee the pain went away, for the first time since the accident. Within an hour the swelling disappeared. She used the Actipach in 6 hours sessions. The pain and swelling came back sporadically between sessions but with much less intensity. Today is the 3rd day of her using Actipatch and she had no pain and no swelling for the last 16 hours. I am an engineer and do not believe in miracles. But I am absolutely amazed at how efficient this product is. I would definitely recommend it to anybody. Currently the product has a life of about 750 hours of operation. The thing that needs to be fixed in the design is adding the capability to replace the battery. But use it without hesitation if you need it. It works wonderfully and has no side effects. Therefore I'm giving it 5 full stars.

My back gave out while shoveling sand for a foundation floor., after a week in bed and lot's of pain later a friend told me about the back patch. i purchased it through Amazon and within 4 hours of use I was up out of bed and walking ariund the house.

While I have had Pulsed Electro Magnetic Field therapy (PEMF), this is amazing to have a device so small and comfortable to wear that I can wear it all day without discomfort or notice by anyone else. The unit was very effective in helping relieve pain in my lower back. My wife has also been using one for her pain in her shoulders, she is very pleased with the results. She actuals sleeps with one of the patches on her shoulder, and does not use it during the day. The patch does not get hot and it is actually not noticable. Once you have used the patch for a day 6 - 8 hours you will have a noticeable relief from the pain. It feels good not to be using pain relievers and potentially causing some long term problem with my intestines.

Pros: highly effective, comfortable, long lasting, cost effective ( a little over a dollar a day if used continuously) portable, and safe
Cons: The cloth material may be a bit light if you are a very active person like me.

Overall on a scale of one to ten I will give it a: 9

I used this product two weeks ago to help with a lower back problem. The problem was so severe that one night I could not turn from one side to another and had a tough time getting off my bed. I went to a physical therapy clinic who tried a few thing (heat pad, exercises and TENS) which helped a little bit. But the trouble was not gone. I couldn't lift my left leg by more than a foot above the ground, sitting at work was difficult and I was walking with a limp. I ordered actipatch and wore it overnight for about 6 hours. The next morning my problems were magically gone. This is the second week since this miracle, I have not had to wear it again and the problems haven't recurred. I highly recommed this to any one who is in pain.

I am considering my second purchase of the acti-patch since it gave very helpful relief of my chronic upper back and neck pain. I used it while sleeping and it is comfortable enough to allow you to sleep soundly without waking up due to cords, equipment, and heat as with a heating pads and other devices. I would have given it 5 stars if not for the inconvenient way to turn it on/off with a little tab you slide in and out of mechanism. A family member threw out the tab since it can be easily mistaken for an old piece of packaging and it was not easy to improvise with a piece of folded paper. I spent time doing this however since I LOVED the pain relief so much and wanted to turn it off to preserve the battery life. Which brings up another point that it would be more helpful if the battery was replacable and I didn't have to purchase an entire new product (not cheap at over $40 with shipping)As a medical professional and lupus sufferer, I would recommend this product overall as the best non-drug pain relief I've found to date.

I ordered this product several weeks ago, and began using it overnight for lower back pain relief.
I have had lower back pain for years, and have taken my share of tylenol and other pain relievers. This is the first product that I have heard about that offers a REAL alternative to these drugs. With all of the risks that are coming out about taking too much tylenol (now proven to cause serious liver problems), I think that using this actipatch product has more than paid for itself.

Since buying it, I have done some research into the technology (this PEMF - pulsed electromagnetic field therapy). This technology has been around for a very long time, but it has always been in a hospital setting, and powered by a refrigerator-sized machine. The fact that this is now portable in a comfortable patch is amazing.

It is easy to use, and was unnoticeable once it is held in place by an ACE bandage. The nights I use it are the best nights sleep I get, and when I wake up, my back pain is 80-90% gone. It is not a miracle cure - there is no total cure for pain - but this product is new and effective. at a price of 50 dollars or less, it more than pays for itself in the first week. I calculated that with the average life of the battery, it should end up costing me like 6 cents per hour of use - now that is a price I can live with, and it has no negative side effects (the technology has been around for many years).

I will continue using actipatch products for many years, and I am glad to see they are now available through Amazon. I look forward to seeing them in Wal-mart or CVS.

If I could give this product 6 stars, I would... it is amazing.

I heard Dr. Oz recommend this on his show. Dr. Oz said it is the "natural" alternative to pain and to give it a try. I immediaely purchased it, since I have had back and neck pain on and off for years. I have been on many different pain medications, have gone for Acupunture, and have tried messages to no avail. To my amazement after wearing the patch for 6 hours the next few days the pain started getting less and less. After using this patch in such a short time my back pain is almost completely gone!! I highly recommend this and its worth every penny! I rate this item 5 stars for the amazing results I have experienced!!

I am an Emergency Medicine physician in SC. I am up on my feet during my shifts for much of the day and I have had low back pain off and on for a few years. I usually just take some ibuprofen or naproxen with some relief. Over the years I have tried steroids, NSAIDS, even have had some injections. The Actipatch did more for my back pain that any of these, in just a few days.

I must admit the device looks a little flimsy and I was skeptical at first. I turned the device on and wore it overnight, the next morning I could tell a significant improvement. I have continued using the patch for 3 consecutive days, taking it off only during showers. My back pain is now essentially gone. I would definately recommend it to my friends, family, and patients in the future. I hope the device will one day be available locally as many of my patients don't use the internet.

I have purchased three Actipatch products - ankle/foot - back - wrist versions. My wife has problems with her one foot from running, so I first bought the ankle/foot version for her. Before she could use it a teammate of my daughter's rolled her ankle in a varsity volleyball match, to the point where she could not stand or put any pressure on her foot. She was taken to ER where she had it wrapped, was given medication, crutches, and told to go home and keep it elevated. Doctor told her it would be 4 weeks plus before she could possibly play and use it again. I immediately took my wife's unused product over to their house and told the player as well as her parents how to use it. Within a week, after using Actipatch every night on her ankle, she was standing on the sidelines with no crutches and able to walk with a limp. Two weeks later she was in high heels, with no limp, taking pictures for the homecoming dance. One week later she was back playing volleyball with it wrapped by an athletic trainer. Bottom line, I saw the healing time cut in half from what was expected.

In the meantime, I had ordered a back and wrist version of the Actipatch. Shortly after receiving them, a friend of my older daughter injured his wrist playing football. I gave him the wrist patch with instructions, and the same scenario played out. He was told 4-5 weeks before he could use his wrist normally. With daily use of the patch at bedtime and through the night, he was back playing in 3 weeks with no pain.

Lastly, my wife was moving and lifting a packing box at work and felt a pain in her lower back. She has from time-to-time had lower back issues -thus the order for the back patch. When she got home she was bent over and could not straighten up completely. After taking a couple of asprin and laying down for a few hours she got up and was still bent over. As we were going to bed, I taped the back patch to her lower back and told her to keep it there all night. Next morning, when she got up, she was standing up right - I asked her about the pain and she said it was completely gone. All true stories!

I have owned the stock for awhile, but had never really experienced the products healing power - only heard other people talk about it on the message boards. Amazing products and I only hope that this gets approved quickly so others can use it successfully.

This product is awesome. I had the luxury of using the technology in the sports medicine field in the trainers office for sporting injuries. It always seemed to help out the injury no matter what it was. The problem is for everyday aches in pains in life, the only way to have this technology used was to make an appointment and pay an outrageous price. For the busy person that is a nightmare.
This particular product gives you great price, convenience, and most important puts the everyday aches and pains to rest. I do not have chronic pain but being in the emergency services, some days can take a toll on anybody. It is nice to be able to use it on your schedule when your body is aching. I have had great relief from pain by using this product when needed. Personally I have never been a big "advil" fan because I laugh at how much my friends and girlfriend take it for everything. I see them take 2, and then after a week of taking 2 everyday they are taking 3. The fact your body builds a tolerance to advil is a major turn off to me.

The only con- the velcro patch if not perfectly positioned and can rub against your skin. SIMPLE SOLUTION- cut a half inch off both sides of the velcro patch and that solves everything.
