5.0 out of 5 stars Good Value
I bought two of these, one for me, one for my wife. We're very active, and we wanted bottles that met the following requirements:
1. Inexpensive
2. Could be opened without using your hands - we are both teachers, and, working with kids we are exposed to a lot of germs. If you touch the nozzle of your water bottle, then touch it to your lips, you get all...

3.0 out of 5 stars water bottle
I really like this bottle. It does a good job holding water. And it's nice looking. I also like that it isn't one of those super firm ones that get to be annoying to carry.

The only thing against this bottle is that it isn't extremely durable. My boyfriend dropped mine on the floor and somehow it broke the lid. But it didn't crack it, it pushed the top in...

I bought two of these, one for me, one for my wife. We're very active, and we wanted bottles that met the following requirements:
1. Inexpensive
2. Could be opened without using your hands - we are both teachers, and, working with kids we are exposed to a lot of germs. If you touch the nozzle of your water bottle, then touch it to your lips, you get all those germs. Nasty.
3. Easy to clean - we've had those bottles with the little straw with the little cover that pops over it. They're a pain to clean
These bottles met the minimum requirements, and also have a couple bonuses:
1. Made in the USA - Just feels better buying American
2. BPA free - Not really concerned about it for health reasons, but it's probably a good thing
3. Biodegradeable - I'm not a tree hugger or an environmentalist, but if it won't be discovered by archaeologists 1000 years from now, that's cool.

The only thing against this bottle is that it isn't extremely durable. My boyfriend dropped mine on the floor and somehow it broke the lid. But it didn't crack it, it pushed the top in. Also, we have two of the larger ones and one seems a bit leaky.

The top is not secure. If over tightened it can pop off and it leaks.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great "green" bottle at a great price, August 8, 2009

We've been replacing water bottles with BPA free ones and this is a great choice at a great price (I paid around $4/bottle as opposed to $10-$12 for the fancier models out there.)

3.0 out of 5 stars Glass is better..., June 27, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: BioGreen Biodegradable BPA-Free Sport Bottle with Wide Mouth DuoFlow Lid (20-Ounce) (Sports)
BPA-free and #4, yes, but still makes your drink taste like plastic. We've had them for a while, now, and we've had no problem with leaking like some of the reviews state. Safer than some of the other plastic products, but I would still recommend investing in/using glass.

2.0 out of 5 stars leaks, breakes when dropped, March 19, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought 2 of these. On one I cannot close the lid so that it does not leak when not standing. Took the second one to a hockey game (I play hockey) and after the game accidentally dropped it on linoleum on the way back to the locker room. The lid simply shattered in pieces. So, in the end I can't use niether bottle.

1.0 out of 5 stars These leak!, July 19, 2010

I bought this water bottle because it was BPA-free, but it is designed horribly. What's the most likely thing you would do with it? Fill it with water and squeeze it to drink, right? Well if you do that, it leaks where the lid meets the bottle.

I'm not sure why other reviewers give it 4-stars then their written review says it leaks, the bottle cracks, etc. Any way you cut it, it's poorly designed.

2.0 out of 5 stars doesn't last, May 28, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought a dozen for a girls volleyball team. Most of the tops cracked within a few weeks of minimum use. Great idea, but not a good product.

2.0 out of 5 stars OK while it lasted., May 20, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Very flimsy. It worked OK while it lasted (held water, no leaks), but broke after about 3 months of regular use. It wasn't dropped hard, wasn't exposed to extreme conditions, just spontaneously fell apart.
On one hand, nice that it is biodegradable, but it is offset by the fact that you'd have to replace it much more often than other better made bottles.
