If you do get this thermos, make sure to wash it right after you use it! Also consider not using for coffee, which made it smell much stronger than when I used it with tea only. If you do that it should be ok, imo. Also be sure to remove the silicon O-rings and wash them separately, as gunk can get trapped in them. This is a "high maintenance" product but it is convenient, stylish and easy to use, and does fit in a bike water bottle holder.
So we bought this flask and it fits perfectly in his standard bike water bottle cage. He has used it several times and it hasn't spilled and it keeps his coffee hot for a long time.
Since it is insulated it is large looking, however, it holds only about one cup of coffee that can be purchased at a typical coffee house "to go" cup.
We love it and it was worth the extra money (versus other options on Amazon) because he can now enjoy both bike riding and his morning coffee at the same time without spills.
Edit: Change to 1-star; lid fell apart. WARNING: NOT INSULATED

Was looking for something to put in my water bottle cage that would keep coffee hot for 2-3 hours on chilly days so I could enjoy a hot beverage halfway through my ride. Read morePublished on October 20, 2013 by DaveNH
This is just an overpriced, non-insulated piece of junk made in China. It is way too big for my bike's bottle holder. My old Thermos was so much better. Read morePublished on August 31, 2013 by William T
