32 pages each in the 'Biodiversity' series by Greg Pyers provides young readers with specific keys to biodiversity in different habitats, making for a fine collection. Greg Pyers worked as an educator in zoos and as a schoolteacher before becoming a full-time writer. He's written many kids books and his series offers fine basic discussions, from what is biodiversity and why it's important, to threats to ecosystems from different sources. WOODLANDS, RAIN FORESTS, POLAR REGIONS, DESERTS, CORAL REEFS and COASTS all offer habitat-specific books and insights perfect for reports.
