Biogas is amazing. With simple technology you can convert yard waste or animal waste into natural gas. I have some friends in Guatemala that install biogas digesters for rural families so they don't burn wood indoors. (smoke from wood fires is the #1 cause of death in children under 5 worldwide)
The biogas book is written in a professional and folksy style. It has plenty of references. I am in the process of designing a biogas machine. It would be helpful if the book also had plans for a variety of biogas digesters, but that may have to wait for The Biogas Handbook #2. If you want to find out how much gas you can generate from a given feedstock, or if you want to compare different types of digesters, this is your book. |
