This review is from: Biogeographie de Madagascar: Actes du Colloque international biogeographie de Madagascar, Societe de biogeographie, Museum, ORSTOM, Paris, ... Colloques et seminaires) (French Edition) (Paperback)
This is a great collection of references for individuals seriously interested in Madagascar. Topics covered are diverse, ranging from Madagascar's unique extant flora and fauna to its paleoecology. I definitely recomend this book. Some articles are in English, some in French - all articles have abstracts in both languages. Be forewarned that this collection is not formatted like Battistini & Richard-Vindard 1972. It is less of a book, per se, and more a collection of about 50 articles- like an academic journal or conference proceedings. Not all aspects of Madagascar's biogeography are covered. Rather, this collection is representative of the vein of recent biogeographical research in Madagascar.
