proper and to the point
Very nice biography and fact base and not so dramatic. I would ahve rather see more music piece played and for a longer time (3 min each) to have teh viewer indulge in composer's feeling and appreciate more.

Good teaching aid
This (along with a few other DVDs) was purchased to help some youngsters (seven and nine year olds) understand a bit about the music they are learning to play. It succeeds admirably. The treatment is brisk and, of necessity, superficial; but that's fine for the age group or for those new to Beethoven.
