This is a great retrospective of the Career of the fabulous Nicholas Brothers. It has scenes from many of their movies and interviews with both of them. A great documentary!

I first saw this on PBS years ago. It opened my eyes to a whole new class of entertainment. I am a die hard DVD fan, but I am buying this on VHS (and hoping for DVD someday) because is is such a great documentary.

Watching the Nicholas Brothers dance is a treat that must be experienced often. Juat when you think you have been dazzeled...here comes Harold or Fayard doing another twist or turn..I remember the first time I saw these two in films...I couldnt believe me eyes..surely they were not human...for how could they fly through the air..? BY the end of their routines...you always want more...its intoxicating. Their twin geometry its seems like one says to the other..TOP THIS...and the other does,,,,and so it goes..A rare treat & unique talents..as was told to Astaire...holds for this dynamic duo..." We are dancing...they are doing something else" Matchless something else!

Not what it oughta be,

This film, despite what many others say, is a big disappointment. "Biography" shows only shortened clips of the brothers dancing, and spends far too much time telling us of their personal peccadillos. Even the "Stormy Weather" scene is hacked up, with too much talk and choppy pieces. The virtuosity, the talent, the ability to glide slightly above the earth that these two have is not the focus of the film; rather, the details, sometimes tawdry, of their lives is the focus. Too bad. Buy the film "Stormy Weather" instead.
