I have a small portable cleaner Bissell Spotbot Pet Handsfree Spot and Stain Cleaner with Deep Reach Technology, 33N8A that I use anywhere there is a pet accident, spill or human accident. The cleaning solution that is recommended for it is only available in small bottles and hard to find. I also found that the recommended solution did little to remove cat urine from the carpet.

If you don't have a cat or dog, you need to realize that when they have an accident on the carpet, the smell soaks in and stays. We may not be able to smell it, but they sure can and will zero in on that next time they have to potty. The solution I was using was not even fully getting the smell out to ME, so I can only imagine what it smelled like to a pet's super-sniffer.

I started off trying the biokleen Bac-Out Stain & Odor Eliminator with Live Enzyme Cultures Foaming Action Sprayer 32 fl oz ( to dissuade the pets from returning to a spot but realized that was a temporary fix because the carpet was NOT CLEAN. I tried having the rugs professionally cleaned and the guy who did it said that their stuff never fully gets out pet odors! I liked the smell of the Bac-out and the fact that it was all natural/no chemicals so I found this product and decided it might be worth a try.

I can't tell you how happy I am with this cleaner! Half a cap in the solution tank with water is all I need for 2 deep/4 surface cleanings. There is no scent left behind (even in areas of repeat offenses) other than the clean smell of this product. It has even gotten out old stains, odors and general discoloration! I'm utterly amazed. I honestly thought nothing would fix beyond that first accident, but I had to try. This product is so worth it. I've used my cleaner about 15 different times and I haven't even made it through half the bottle. Get this product. You won't regret it.

P.S. 4 cats, 1 dog, 2 kids is the ultimate endorsement.

I use this in my Hoover F7452900 Steamvac All-Terrain Floor Cleaner and the Bissell 1425B Little Green Proheat Turbo Carpet Cleaner and have had no problems. I have also used it in the Rug Doctor machine that you can rent with no problems, and with Bac- out

To preface, I used this product with a Hoover SteamVac Carpet Cleaner with Clean Surge, F5914-900, which is the top rated carpet cleaning machine on Amazon.

I used the Biokleen Rug Shampoo as per instructions on the bottle and with the Hoover machine. When used with warm water, this product cleans very well. No problems removing general and moderate soil from a highly trafficked cream berber carpet. It was also able to remove minor mud stains and some pet accidents as well in just a few passes. The key elements for me with a product like this are:

- Pet-safe
- Eco-friendly (natural ingredients)
- Low foaming
- No residue
- Mild, pleasant fragrance (grapefruit)
- Excellent cleaning power (8 out of 10)
- Cost-effective

This product rates high on all. For any pet accidents, I pretreat with Biokleen Bac-Out Stain & Odor Eliminator, then follow with the Hoover and Biokleen Rug Shampoo/warm water mixture. If there is heavy soil or stains, be patient and work over the area a few times, careful not to get the rug too saturated.

If this product has a downfall, it is that the cleaning power isn't as high as others. Specifically, the the stain removing power. However, the fact that it is safe, easy to use, and pleasant smelling brings this to the top of my list for carpet cleaners. I'd prefer to clean my carpets a little more frequently than worry about the safety of my family and pets.

As with all the other review, I had good result using the Carpet and Rug cleaner on my Hoover and Rug doctor machine.

I have only one complaint. I have ordered this product a couple of times, and each time, the product came with solution coming out of the container. I think the solution must have foamed up during shipping and leaked out. The manufacturer should figure out a way to seal the bottle so avoid this problem. I guess this is a known problem because the shipper shipped the bottle in a large plastic bag to contain the leakage.

What initially drew me to BioKleen products was the smell. Then I stayed for the performance. I'm a devotee, and I don't buy anything except BioKleen for this household. However, I have to confess that I HATE the smell of this carpet shampoo. It performs well, but it smells...institutional. It really makes me think of a nursing home. I've got it, so I use it, but then I follow up with a dilute solution of regular Bac Out to try to pull out the unfortunate odor of this stuff. I added a little essential oil of clove, and that helped some. But if I ever use this stuff up, I'll look for a different product.

I'm using this with a Hoover Steamvac, I'm getting stellar results - dirty extracted water, clean carpets. I can't say if its as good as the Hoover branded stuff, as I read the warnings and didn't want to use that stuff! Many commercial non-toxic carpet cleaners use Biokleen and get stellar reviews. Bottom line, this stuff works well, has a nice mild smell, and is seemingly safe for humans and pets.

I love, LOVE this stuff. It works great in my machine, and doesn't leave my carpet feeling stiff. The smell is amazing, and best of all, it doesn't bother my allergies. I'll keep buying it as long as they keep making it.

My carpet gets pretty dirty with 3 little kids running in and out of the house. I was extremely pleased with this product. I used it in the Hoover Steam Vacuum with no problem and the carpets came out way better than I would anticipated. The smell was nice and refreshing...no overpowering fumes like you would get with professional cleaners. I have found my new go to product for the carpet cleaning machine and it is a fraction of the price I used to pay for the brand I was using.

We bought this because it was on sale for under $7, and I was surprised to find that it works really well. We use it with our Hoover carpet shampooer, and haven't had any issues with it. No strong chemical odours like most carpet cleaners, and works on pet stains too. Trust me, we have two dogs!

I was a little worried this product may over suds in our carpet cleaner, which then would cause leaks..well it doesnt!! It gets pet stains out very good especially if you pre-treat the stains. It's scent is very mild but wonderful! No harsh fumes and I can trust my pets and childs safety around it. The value of this is really good, compared to other carpet cleaner brands like Hoover and Bissel, your getting more for less.



***UPDATE: I am updating my review to mention the price of this product here use to be WAY CHEAPER, at least half the price and that $22.55 + shipping is a terrible buy! This stuff is good, but do not buy here! Shame on you seller!!!!
