5.0 out of 5 stars Great Combo W/Conditioner
One of the best salon products that doesn't kill your wallet. Use it with the Ultra-Hydrating Conditioner or another great conditioner. One is bound to see results. It doesn't leave it feeling sticky or heavy at all afterwards.
A hefty size for $21. Try it to get it from Amazon and get free shipping or get the other size from Amazon.

2.0 out of 5 stars Should not have "detangling" in the product name
I am of middle eastern decent so even though my hair is not super curly and not super thick, it's thick enough and brittle enough that I get a lot of knots in my hair and it's very unmanageable. I can shower, get all the knots out, comb through, condition, and dry then go to wash it 6 hours later and it'll take me half an hour to get the knots out even with conditioner...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, November 30, 2009
This is the best conditioner. Light, yet makes my long, semi-coarse/curly hair knot free. Very hydrating and rinses clean. Wonderful stuff and a little goes a long way - subtle scent too.

This is a great price for this product! If your hair needs some TLC from the dry, winter air, this is a great shampoo.

This conditoner is great. My hair needs conditioning, but is oily. This conditions and doesn't make it oily. It came in earlier than it was supposed to.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works Well, Smells Great!, May 5, 2010
The first time, my salon lady used this on my hair. It smelled wonderful!

I asked her what type of shampoo she was using? She said "Biolage."

I looked at the bottle: Ultra-Hydrating Shampoo.

I always order more than one quantity, because this is one of the best shampoos I've used!

Don't need the conditioner. Shampoo does the job, makes my hair look & smell great!

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely necessary for me, July 8, 2011
My hair is waist length. I grow it out for about three years until it hits that long, cut it to donate to charity, and start again. So for much of my time the hair is at least mid-back-length or longer. It's currently at the waist length stage. Once it gets this long, because it's curly, it can get tangled VERY easily. I want to take as good care as I can of my hair since it's going to a person who really needs it and wants it to be healthy.

I also tend to be frugal, so for the longest time I'd buy inexpensive shampoos and conditioners. "How different can they really be?" I'd say to myself. But the tangles got more and more frustrating. So finally in a fit of desperation one day I saw this on a shelf and decided I'd splurge and try it one time. If it was a one time mistake, I could live with it.

Wow, was I surprised. This stuff was GOOD. I was able to finger-brush my hair out in the shower! My brush went through it easily after I got out! Also my hair tends to be oily and this didn't make it super-oily. I was quite happy with how the hair looked afterwards. I get tons of compliments on my hair now and I'm sure a portion of that is due to how healthy this conditioner makes it look.

Is this solution expensive? YES. My boyfriend winces when I buy this. He's even more frugal than I am. But I have tried other options and they just don't compare. If I rip half of my hair out of my head trying to brush it, then what will I donate to charity? Three or four strands by the time I'm done? With this conditioner the hair is smooth, detangles like a dream, and I keep every strand as healthy as it can be.

Highly recommended, if you need it. If you really don't need a detangler then this might not be worth the money. You might be fine with a less expensive option.

That said, I'm also not into buying expensive things. For this issue, I started with different suave conditioners, worked my way up to tresseme (sp?) and then finally resolved to get something a little pricier. I looked up a lot of reviews and this one looked good.

It doesn't detangle at all. In fact, I have some left over suave conditioner left and I usually mix the two to get my knots out in the shower. The best thing for me so far, not great, but just the best out of the ones I've tried, has been the tressemme naturals (the regular tresemme conditioner didn't work for me).

I continue my search!!
