It presents recent research methods in the field, which use standard methods for the determination of heavy metals in the air above industrial regions. It also features a review of plant and fungus species and their reactions to pollution. Based on case studies, it demonstrates the means of selecting species for the detection of microelements, and the discovery of toxic substances amongst these elements.
