MICHAEL THORNE is Professor Emeritus in the Psychology Department at Mississippi State University, USA. Do not order the "paperback edition" thinking wow, it's much cheaper. The paperback edition is the study guide, not the textbook.

I use this book to teach an advanced level undergraduate course, and it has been terrific. It simplifies the material so that it is easy to understand without oversimplification which has been traditionally the problem with such introductory texts. Overall, high marks for Klein and Thorne's well-designed well-written text. It makes teaching and learning the material a breeze. My students have also positively commented on this text.
