I needed this book for an on-line course. It was just what I wanted. Very good purchase. The book was in excellent condition.

it was nice to be able to get a used copy online....these books are expensive

We purchased this book used for a high school AP class. It was in better shape than I expected. It seemed like a new book. We are very happy with Amazon's used book network, as we have purchased other similar items also. All of them have been in great shape for used books classified as "Good" condition.

I bought this textbook for my daughter, 10th grade Biology class so that she does not need to carry the book to school everyday. If the teacher teaching style is to have students read the book first and try to understand as much as possible before teaching, it is not easy for a 10th grade reader to understand the content. I ask my daughter to read the supplement AP material from Barron or Princeton Review first, followed by reading this textbook. I think this is a good book because it includes pictures and challenging questions. After reading the content to understand the material, student can just go to pictures and highlight of the book to remember what is important. I think student can use this textbook to prepare for AP examination for school does not offer AP class.

I placed the order on a Monday and received this book on either the following Thursday or Friday, which was much sooner than expected. Despite being a used book, it was in great condition. I would have given it a five out of five if the BiologyNOW access card was included as advertised. However, I didn't notice it was supposed to be included until later and I probably wouldn't have used it anyway, so it's not that big of a deal.

The condition of the book and speed of shipping have convinced me to buy from overstockbooks225 in the future.

Received shipment in a timely fashion and the book was in good condition!

This text is a great way to learn a complex subject. It's expensive but the on-line links provide good value. There's tests and study helps and the animations and explanations of the diagrams make learning so much more pleasant than the last time I did Biology 40 years ago. My fellow students agree this text has made the work easier to absorb. It goes into much more detail than first year university students need but it provides us with good basics for future study. Highly recommended.
