Unfortunately, I must express my dissatisfaction with this book. It sits on my desks waiting to be devoured into a million pieces, I hate it. The textbook is not organized, there are Chapters I felt needed to come before others or at least sections that must have been expressed first to understand other sections.

This textbook is geared for the Biology majors at my university yet we sit sometimes expressing how confusing some sections may be. I have recourced to other textbooks to that makes the material flow better such as Cambell's Biology. Sorry, 2 out of 5.

The book arrived fast! Though it was described as "good" but it totally looks like brand-new and the price is very nice!!! Thank you. Definitely recommend for whoever wants to order textbooks with the online card access.

Ordered this book for both of my general biology classes. This book works for both Biology 1 and 2. Not much less expensive on here than the bookstore but worth it.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK UNLESS IT IS MANDATORY. this book is not organized, horrible structure. it complicates everything. PLEASE FINISH YOUR STATEMENT ON A SINGLE TOPIC BEFORE VEERING OFF INTO ANOTHER AREA. I AM SOOOOO FRUSTRATED that my university selected this book and will teIl my professor. I took General Biology 1 at another school and used CAMPBELL'S BIOLOGY.... by far the best bio book ever written. SAVE YOURSELF THIS HASSEL AND AGGREGATION. IT IS TOO COSTLY FOR THE NIGHTMARE INSIDE. I love Science and am a pre-med student. This book makes me forget my love and affinity for science. It makes me sooooo miserable. I did so well with the other book. I love Biology and especially CELLULAR FUNCTIONALITY AND organ systems. This book is a confusing mess. Doesn't get to the point. too much fat and tooo many references to other topics in between paragraphs. IT'S NOT THAT COMPLICATED PEOPLE. GET TO THE POINT AND STOP IT. I HOPE THE AUTHOR AND PUBLISHER READ THIS REVIEW. WOW.....The worst part is that the small shortcut examples are more informative and simple organized thoughts. A waste of MONEY AND EFFORT......

Amazon did a great job in fulfilling this order. Received before eta. The connect portion of this book is a great resource for studying. The learnsmart module is a quiz over the chapter with a few hundred variety of questions. You'll have access to an online version of the book just incase say if ur at school and don't have your book but need to lookup certain text (you can search for key words like chloroplast and it will return a list of every paragraph with the word chloroplast).

The book was flawless and arrived on time. It was packed very carefully. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is that it didn't come with the extra help disc that the new books at my school store did. However, the fact that the book was about 40 dollars cheaper and brand new was awesome!

I got a new book so it was a great conditions. Too havy to carry.Deliverd on time and even faster when i was expected.

The school was selling this book new for 200 and i got it here for 150 and its awesome same one correct authors the whole thing..and its just great will continue to use for the sole factor that it helps me save so much money...

According to my professor, who of course has a Phd in biology, this text is the most advanced in-depth text he has yet seen. I agree, an old biology graduate can pick up this book and learn about many new advances and discoveries in the field of cell biology.

This book is very good about going in depth about Biology then any other book that I have read before and it also tends to put things in to easy to understand terms and gives good current examples that everyone these days can relate too.
