This is a great book to understand and be familiar with bioluminescence which exist everywhere in the our surrounding lives. The book describes what you would like to know about bioluminescence including historical point of view and the author's life work dedicated for studying bioluminescence. The author was awarded 2008 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for discovery of green fluorescent protein, GFP, in the jellyfish that made huge impact in biomedical science by allowing visualization of protein behavior in vivo.
