A definitive text for NMR and MRI hardware., December 8, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Biomedical Magnetic Resonance Technology (Medical Science) (Hardcover)
Drs. Hoult and Chen performed some of the fundamental work describing the nature of magnetic fields and their interaction with biological samples in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Here they compile their work in one volume and expand upon it to provide a clear picture about these interactions. The most valuable portion of this book can be found in chapters 3 through 5, which contain the basic description of magnetic fields, RF signals, RF noise, and the working basics of the NMR spectrometer. These items make this an invaluable one-stop shop for information to the engineer or physicist needing to know the fundamental classical field interactions at work in MRI. For these individuals, this book is a must have.
