I think this is the best Lock I used ever. It took me 5 minutes to install this slick (modern look) "Lock" on one of my doors. It fit in my American Standard door. Now I have 3 ways to open this door: Fingerprint, Numbers, and my Old Keys. I replaced the new lock cyliner with my old cylinder, so I could use my old keys for this door. If I didn't mention it, my postman wouldn't have known this is a new Biometric Fingerprint Lock. If not awaken, this lock is always in the locked mode (simply close the door) - save the battery life! To go out, simply turn the handle inside the house, then close the door - very useful and ideal for Children with Special Needs. Thank you!!!

I like being the first to try something new. This is pretty awesome. I am sick and tired of getting locked out of my own house cause I forget my keys. So, I saw this item on amazon.com and said why not? They were on time with delivery. I took a few days to read the manual to make sure I could handle not only the installation but the actual use.

It would fit in the hole for the old door lock. However, getting it straight and realizing the 9 volt battery had to go through the hole was a little difficult. The instructions were no help. Thank goodness my friend Mike had installed a door handle before.

The actual use of the device is something else altogether. It took about an hour to figure out how to get the lock to work properly. A few times Mike was able to defeat the lock. I was able to open a door with a fingerprint I did not enroll. Eventually, we realized that you had to put it in different mode to use it. Once set up, it was easy to use.

The key access is pretty good. Everyone who has been to my house and saw this, wants it. I am getting a second one for the front door.
