Refresh a room's air with this flat panel air cleaner from Bionaire's PERMAtech line. The PERMAtech air cleaners merge HEPA filtration and ionic technology for thoroughly clean and healthy indoor breathing. The CADR-rated cleaner eradicates up to 99-percent of a room's air particles, including dust, pollens of all varieties, mold spores, pet dander, and smoke residue.

Suited for medium-sized rooms, up to 10 by 11 feet in area, the air cleaner uses a fan to circulate allergens through the cleaner where the HEPA filter traps them. Simultaneously, the cleaner further strives to improve the room's atmosphere with the release of positive ions and internal electrostatic precipitation to collect additional microorganisms and air debris. Users adjust and monitor the cleaner's operation on the digital control panel's LED display. With diligent care, the cleaner's HEPA-filter need never be replaced. The air cleaner is intended for indoor use only and should never be used in the vicinity of flammables. As with all electrical appliances, read the safety guidelines outlined in the included manual prior to use. The air cleaner weighs 14 pounds upon shipping.

This air filter was really sexy and cool when I bought it, but it was created with the arrogant notion (remnant of White Star Lines idea that the Titanic was unsinkable) that the filter never needs replacing. The result of this idiotic design principle was that the manufacturer never made stocked replacement filters. The device is now discontinued. If you for some reason decide to replace the filter in this unit, FORGET IT!!! You're screwed, and no you can't find a similarly sized filter anywhere else either.

Product was in good condition, juse ad described. It's nice and quiet and I'm happy with it...very stylish too.
