A cold room warms up quickly with this sleek-profile heater. Because the air intake and heat exhaust vents are both on the front, the heater can be placed directly against a wall. Measuring 14 by 8-1/2 by 6 inches, the compact and lightweight heater takes up very little floor space and can even sit on a table or desk. Digital push-button controls allow precise adjustments for temperature settings and low (750 watts) or high (1,500 watts) heat output, and the lighted display shows both the desired and actual room temperatures. Once the desired room temperature is reached, the fan cycles on and off to maintain the temperature and save energy. A nightlight automatically comes on in the dark, and can be turned off at the push of a button if desired. For safety reasons the heater will shut off if it starts to overheat. This is a pretty cool heater for the price. I purchased this heater for my bedroom but the one problem I have with it, is that it is very loud. Some heaters are only loud when you first turn it on but this hover seems to go at it the whole entire time. For the price I can't complain much. Its light weight and heats up pretty fast. Somehow the heat seems to circulate around my bedroom rapidly. Another positive is that I have dropped it about 4-5 times already since I got it. I had it placed on my desk in my bedroom and when I tripped on the cord jumping off my bed the thing fell. Surprisingly the unit is still functioning just the way I first purchased it. Its pretty sturdy and at this price I would recommend it over other heaters. Not only is it sturdy but when it falls it won't get your carpet on fire. I also like the digital aspect of this unit. Very portable, basically no complaints other than the noise it makes. Recommended for small bedrooms.
9/19/04 Just wanted to update that I'm still using this heater. Its about the best heater I've had in a long time. It has been almost one year and this heater has fallen off my desk about a hundred times and its still going. I would recommend this because of the durability. This is a good buy!

Fan too loud!,

Though I find the heat output and digital readout just fine on this heater the fan sounds like a 747 at takeoff. The fan noise doesn't let up. If not for the fan this would be a five star product. If your home is already noisy or you have a high tolerance for loudness this heater is the one for you.

We bought this heater to help out with some cold areas of our house, including our family room and our 2 year old's bedroom. It does an OK job of heating, and the ocillating feature is very nice, but it's very loud. In order to get ant real heating effect out of this thing, you'll really need to set it on the higher heat setting (1500 watts). It is extremely loud. The thermostat regulates the temperature on the heater, but the constant turning on and off is very annoying. Otherwise does an OK job.
