This unit was worked well, in it's day. But, now the replacment wicks are impossible to find, even from the manufacturer, Bionaire. It was nice not to have to change or add water every day (we used it in a 900 sq ft. space). Although the unit is on wheels, when the unit is filled with water, it's cumbersome to roll it over carpeted areas. Having an accessible space (like a no-barriers shower) to fill the 3 gallon reservoirs is important. You don't want to have to lift these up out of a tub after filling. I would advise getting a newer model. I'm looking at Bemis DP3200.

We have had this humidifier for 9 years. Our house has steam radiators which makes the air very dry. For the last 9 winters, we have not had that dry air. This Bionaire humidifer has added the right amount of humidity to our entire house. We buy new filters and wicks for it every year. It does take some time to clean the insides, which I do once during the season and again before I store it, but it is worth the trouble. It works quite well for us and we highly recommend it.
