Product Description

Amazon.com

The women's fitness gloves from Bionic are designed by an orthopedic hand surgeon to provide performance enhancing support for weight lifting and other gym workouts. Constructed with high-grade, washable sheepskin leather and Coolmax Lycra for breathability, the gloves are built for comfort and durability. The gloves feature an anatomical pad system that is designed to help strengthen your grip so that you can push further up the weight scale. Meanwhile, the strategic padding enables you to operate free weights and weight stacks without blisters and callus build-up. Motion Zones over the knuckles and Web Zones between the fingers promote natural hand movement and help circulate air, preventing hand fatigue.

The Bionic Fitness Gloves are designed to enhance your comfort and grip strength at the gym.
Exclusive Glove Technology--Developed by an Orthopedic Hand Surgeon to:
Reduce Hand Fatigue--Increase Grip Strength--and--Support the Hand's Natural Dexterity
  • Anatomical Relief Pad System: The hand has natural peaks and valleys determined by the placement of the bones. Typically the high points of the bone rub against tools and equipment, causing blisters, calluses, and fatigue. Bionic gloves are designed to solve this problem with strategically placed pads in the glove, that eliminate the peaks and valleys--evening the surface of the hand--to result in improved grip strength, reduced hand fatigue, and reduced friction--to virtually eliminate calluses and blisters.
  • Web and Motion Zones:
The hands combine 14 phalanx bones as well as large number of tendons and muscles to allow for an intricate range of motion and dexterity. Bionic gloves offer Motion Zones over the knuckles, and Web Zones between the fingers, made of stretchable and breathable Lycra to provide greater flexibility, support the hand's natural dexterity, and keep the hands cool and dry.

I have small hands but size small was too tight.

They do fit quite snuggly so I highly recommend you visit the official Bionic Gloves website and use their measurement chart so you can order the right size.

I hate callouses. They are ugly and, when they tear off, painful. Unfortunately, when lifting free weights they are a common occurrence. I presently use GoFit Women'S Pearl Tac Weightlifting Gloves With Interactive 12-Week Training Cd-Rom for training purposes; they are thin and do not provide much comfort or gripping power. So, I was eager to try out the gloves by Bionic.

My first impression can be described in one word: snug. I ordered the small size glove and I wish I had bumped up to a medium. I'm going to make the small size work, but I would have avoided disappointment had I just went with a medium. If you take a tape measure and measure around your knuckles, the following information, taken from Bionic's website, should give you an idea of your appropriate glove size:

6 1/4" - 7" = Small
7 1/4" - 7 3/4" = Medium
7 3/4" - 8" =Large
8" - 8 1/4" = XL

The circumference of my hand at the knuckle is 7". My advice to you is that if you are in doubt and you are right on the edge of the next size, bump up.

Other than ordering a somewhat less than desirable size, I think the gloves are very well-made. They are leagues ahead of my GoFit gloves. The Bionic gloves have:

1) Padding - what a concept. My GoFit gloves might as well be very thin socks -- they have no grip and don't protect the hands. These gloves have a very nice textured, padded surface.

2)a stylish design in a good color -- The gloves are predominately black. My GoFit gloves are light pink and grey but look black from rubbing against weights.

I've been lifting for over 20 years, and have tried many different types/brands of work out gloves. These are the best that I've used to date by far. Unlike the other leather/suede gloves I've used in the past which seem to stretch over time and become "bulky" not to mention that sweaty leather smell...these gloves truly fit like a "hand and glove" should be. It's also a very attractive design. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is, because it does fit so nice and snug, it's a bit more challenging to take off! But I still LOVE them! : )

I have really small hands so it's always difficult to find gloves that fit. These were perfect. The only issue is when you've been working out hard you end up having to "peel" it off your hand and it usually ends up inside out. Other than that, no problem here.

Great weight lifting gloves! Extra padding on the palms is very helpful to prevent hand injuries, especially with heavy bars. Very stylish...love the color combo. Be sure to order correct size as this glove fits just a wee bit tight.

Should have listened to the feedback of others - these gloves run a whole size too small. I have very little hands and a small was too tight! I don't wear a medium anywhere for anything, but this product is an exception (I.e., sizing is not standard, or possibly "correct").

These gloves fit snugly and are a little difficult to get off. That said, they provide the necessary support, and feel superior to other brands i tried on.

The size Small glove fit me perfectly with a teeny bit of room to spare around the palm area. I am very petite though at 4ft11 and 90 lbs with a very small build and tiny wrists. I generally wear a size XXS and size Small is genrally WAY to big for me. However, these gloves fit me amazingly. My measurement around the knuckles is around 6.4" The gloves fit me perfect but I have very tiny fingers (my hands are the size of a child's). If you are "average sized" then you probably want to size up. Glad I went with the Small instead of the Medium though. I plan to use these for heavy barbell lifting; lunges, deadlifts, squats, shoulder presses etc.

These gloves are very uncomfortable. They have too much hard padding in the palm and across the ball mounts of the fingers, which made it difficult to hold on to anything and actually ended up causing worse blisters than going barehanded. They also have too much fabric between the fingers which bunches up and irritates the web area between the fingers. The first pair I ordered in medium according to the sizing chart. I thought I was going to have to cut them off. I exchanged them for a large, which is still too tight and cuts off blood flow to the fingers. These are just miserable gloves for weight training, spinning, or any other sports activity.
