The men's fitness gloves from Bionic are designed by an orthopedic hand surgeon to provide performance enhancing support for weight lifting and other gym workouts. Constructed with high-grade, washable sheepskin leather and Coolmax Lycra for breathability, the gloves are built for comfort and durability. The gloves feature an anatomical pad system that is designed to help strengthen your grip, prevent blisters and calluses, and reduce hand fatigue. Motion Zones over the knuckles and Web Zones between the fingers promote natural hand movement and help circulate air.

The Bionic Fitness Gloves are designed to help you lift more by improving your grip and reducing hand fatigue.
Exclusive Glove Technology--Developed by an Orthopedic Hand Surgeon to:
Reduce Hand Fatigue--Increase Grip Strength--and--Support the Hand's Natural Dexterity
  • Anatomical Relief Pad System: The hand has natural peaks and valleys determined by the placement of the bones. Typically the high points of the bone rub against tools and equipment, causing blisters, calluses, and fatigue. Bionic gloves are designed to solve this problem with strategically placed pads in the glove, that eliminate the peaks and valleys--evening the surface of the hand--to result in improved grip strength, reduced hand fatigue, and reduced friction--to virtually eliminate calluses and blisters.
  • Web and Motion Zones:
The hands combine 14 phalanx bones as well as large number of tendons and muscles to allow for an intricate range of motion and dexterity. Bionic gloves offer Motion Zones over the knuckles, and Web Zones between the fingers, made of stretchable and breathable Lycra to provide greater flexibility, support the hand's natural dexterity, and keep the hands cool and dry.

I have large hands and normally fit an XL slightly snug.

I find these gloves perfect for the gym: very comfortable, and they provide a good grip on weight bars and good padding for push-ups and other mat exercises.

I enjoyed these gloves when I first got them. They were very comfortable, unfortunately the seams did not hold up and the gloves started falling apart. Not what I expected from an expensive pair like these. They're good, but not worth the price, and other gloves are manufactured to hold up much better.

I purchased a men's pair of Bionic fitness gloves and was initially impressed with the materials, both for breathability and padding for protection against calluses. However, within a month, the seams in the palms started tearing apart. So these gloves do not have the durability and quality that I would expect in such an expensive glove. Caveat emptor.

As with the prior review, I too have tried just about every type of workout glove on the market in my 25 years of lifting. The fit, the feel, and overall comfort of the Bionic Fitness glove is the absolute best out there. I just purchased my second pair, after my first pair finally gave out, after almost two years of DAILY heavy lifting use. Also, these gloves don't bunch up at the finger joints like that "other brand". When lifting heavy, that's important.

These gloves are great for bike riding and doing pull-ups on bars. However, they're not so great for weight-lifting. When I tried using them while lifting weights they began to tear easily at the seams. So, to some extent they're great fitness gloves if you use them for light-duty work, but many people will be disappointed in the product quality if they try and do too much with these gloves.

I have been lifting weights consistently (5 days a week, 2 hours a day) for 3 years, and have a total of 5 years experience lifting. I lift heavy, and am familiar with a need for a quality pair of training gloves. I have also experienced this need while circuit training. I've tried all different gloves and in my experience so far, these are the best!

Fitment: 4/5
They run a little small but that's fine with me, I like my gloves snug. They fit excellent and felt good the first time I put them on right up until the last time I put them on! They don't wiggle around and I haven't had a single issue with having to readjust them like other pairs of gloves I've tried. My only gripe is that the main pads on the palm feel a little low.

Durability: 4/5
These gloves last me anywhere from 10-14 months. This is a fairly average time frame, all things considered. These gloves are designed for light weight feel on the hands and breathability, so unlike full leather designs they do not last as long. I haven't had issues like other people have said with seams coming undone. Towards the end of the lifespan of these gloves holes appear in heavy wear areas, but I have the same problem with all of the gloves I have used. I use the comparison to a runner needing new running shoes about every 6 months. Same concept here.

Protection: 5/5
These gloves protect my hands on a phenomenal level. They have been amazing in preventing calluses from lifting or doing pullups or any exercise I use my hands for. They have minor wrist support too which has been excellent in helping prevent injury, but not acting as a brace and causing my wrist to get weak like gloves that have wrist wraps.

Price: 5/5
Gloves with similar design are expensive.

Very comfortable gloves which is why I purchased them to begin with. However, cannot recommend them because the seams in the palms wear out QUICK!

I'm on my third pair as of today. My second pair wore a hole in the palm (same as the first pair) after about 6 months of repeated use - I lift 3 days a week (no way anyone has had these last 2 years - my first pair was about the same). I needed new gloves so I picked up a pair of Harbinger Pro's - terribly uncomfortable (IMHO) compared the the Bionic's. Sure, I wish the Bionic's lasted longer, but since they are so much more comofortable than the others, I'll deal with the cost. I ordered two pairs today. For reference, I'd honestly compare these/the material to my cycling gloves - they're really not much different. Hope that helped.

I am now on my third and last pair of Bionic Fitness Gloves.

To be fair they are comfortable and do protect the gripping surfaces of the hand well BUT and it is a BIG BUT, if they get sweaty on the palm, the palm disitegrates and tears in a very short space of time, (circa 20 trips to the gym).

I have looked after each pair correctly, (I have even verified this with the manufacturer). So there is a design flaw, in that the palms cannot tolerate sweat as it breaks down the leather in the lower palm, despite the rest of the glove remaining in good condition.

I have used gym gloves for over 15 years and Bionics ar the most expensive and have by far the shortest lifespan.

After repeatedly chasing the manufacturer and discussing the problem with them, the response I got was one of disinterest.

My advice is that if you do not sweat, fine, go ahead and buy them, otherwise if my experience is anything to go by, I would recommend you buy another brand. I am going back to Gold's Gym Gloves.
