This review is from: Lego Bionicle Bohrok Lehvak (GREEN) #8564 (Toy)
I have heard several parent reviews of the new Bionicle building-set line, and they have said that they aren't like the Legos that used to be made, in the respect that they can no longer reflect creativity in building new creations; after building from the contained instructions, the set is complete. However, I point out that this is NOT true.
The Bionicle, though intended for a certain form of the 'Bohrok,' is composed of 40-a-set pieces, and are completely customisable. After the initial building, kids can disassemble the toy and use the pieces to make new creations, or MOC's (My Own Creations.) Though most of the pieces seem one-purpose-only, upon further inspection it can be seen that there are several other slots and holes, allowing new positions, new formations, and in fact original products are entirely possible. Then, after the other Bohroks are purchased, even more creations are possible!
To motivate this idea, you may note that in the back of each instruciton book there are pieces of the instructions to build another product out of three Bohroks. But it doesn't stop there. Whereas in the previous history of Legos original creations were made out of simple geometric shapes, the same is possible with these new-age, streamlined pieces. Now what Lego needs to do is to make compatability with the dotted format of other legos and these new ones.
As for the mechanics, the pieces are quite durable, withstanding multiple takings apart, which would be of special concern in the ball-and-socket joints. The toys, as is traditional with lego, teach perseverance, concentration, creativity, organisation, and further hand skills.

Buy the Lehvak!! I'm a Bionicle fan and I have all the Tohunga,
Kopaka, and turaga Whenua. I just got this and it is pure fun.
I also have the Gahlok. I can't wait to get the rest of the bohrok. I recommend this for all Bionicle fans! Buy this toy. It's very challenging for most people, but since I'm a long time
Lego fan, it only took me 6-8 minutes to build. Buy this. No Bionicle fan is to go without it!

This was a cool toy. The seller's pricing was fair; however, was not informed that it would be missing the Krana. Arrival of purchased item came expeditiously... Overall, I rate this as a positive transaction.
