Bionicle Heroes - For Bionicle lovers and gamers alike,
A Kid's Review
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Bionicle Heroes (Video Game)
Hello, and welcome to my review. I hope this review will help you make the decision of buying or not buying.
Bionicle Heroes was released in November 2006 for PlayStation 2, Nintendo GameCube, PC, Nintendo DS and GameBoy Advance by the makers of the smash hit LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game series. It allows you to play as the Toa Inika and Piraka on 25 beautifully designed levels set across 6 huge interactive elemental zones: Water, Air, Fire, Ice, Earth and Stone. Story: Basically, there is no story line besides the distant goal of "Find the Mask of Light." All you must do to win is defeat all 7 Piraka. The objective for every level is "Blast your way to the end"; therefore, gameplay very bland. Gameplay: The gameplay of Bionicle Heroes is mostly copied from the LEGO Star Wars series. There is a main room from which you go to the 6 elemental zones. You can buy upgrades, special areas, even bonus levels. Special rooms contain the many awards that you can acquire by exploring secret areas and gaining various types of Lego pieces. Collecting many Lego pieces will allow you to go into "Hero mode", which boosts your firepower and armor. Details: The graphics are top-notch, the sound is crystal-clear and the movie skits and fun and short. Negative: There are numberous things in this game that lead to its overall failure: poor story, as I mentioned earlier; the annoyingly loud music, which can be quite distracting; and the "Hero mode" requirement at the end of each level. Do not let the "Bionicle" logo fool you. This game is for Lego fans and gamers alike. Rent it, because its style of gameplay may turn you off.

This is a really fun game and easy to play for all. Really nice graphics , plenty of levels, things to collect , boss fights fun but not impossible to defeat. Very easy to get started playing even for a beginner yet still challenging and interesting for a more experienced gamer.

A very entertaining game for one who has been playing video games for a long time. It has a really challenging environment and would be too hard for new video gamers. I like that the game actually has humor and action at the same time. You don't have to use many different buttons on the controller to play this game. One thing I didn't like is that you have to beat a boss to complete each level. Overall, this would be a good game for video gamers who want a good challenge and love Bionicles!

My son got this a couple years back.(When BIONICLE was still going.) I played it and found it very interesting myself. Here's some info on it.
Story: When six beings called the Piraka steal the Mask of Life, mayhem hits the island of Voya Nui. Ancient evils rise(Titans & Rahkshi) and animal-like creatures invade. One night during a storm though a band of Toa-Heroes land in the bay meeting Balta a rebel on the island. He gives them six power-masks and instructs them to defeat the Piraka, Titans, Rahkshi, and their minions so the heroes set out to banish the evil ones from Voya Nui. Gameplay: The game's a shooter and has amazing graphics to show off. As well as non-stop action. Players also have the abilities to snipe in on enemies, build items from LEGO Technic pieces, jump gaps, and cross liquid flows. Locations: The areas look amazing and include a Volcano, a high-tech stronghold, a desert, and others. Overall: The game's fun for kids,(7-9)pre-teens, teens, and adults alike. Takes a month or so to complete. And sports some awesome features of M-rated games while ditching all the un-neccessary cussing and gore.(Gore's replaced by a LEGO-ish blowing-up)

Bionicle Heroes: A Lego game like none before it,
A Kid's Review

Bionicle Heroes is a fun game with both good things and bad things about it.
Short Summary: Basically, you go around shooting stuff. This may not sound very fun, but it's actually a blast, especially the bonus levels where swarms of enemies/targets pour in from all sides. Gameplay: The controls are easy to learn, and the game doesn't require much thinking. However, it can be quite a challenge to achieve Gold Award on every level. Plus, you can collect canisters to unlock "trophies" in various bonus rooms. I disagree with those who say that the game is too short- it's way more challenging and fun than the Lego Star Wars series. My rating- **** Graphics and Sound: The graphics are fairly good for a PS2 game. They're at least better than the graphics for Bionicle: The Game. The music is perfect to suit this fast-paced action game; it ranges from a triumphant tune for Hero Mode to a Duel of the Fates-ish melody for the boss fights. The various grunts and squeals, as well as Balta's voice acting, is perfect, especially Fenrakk's beastly growl. My rating- ***** Story: You're a Toa who washed ashore and has to defeat the Piraka and their "assistants" (Sidorak, Rahkshi, etc.) to unlock the final level where you defeat Vezon and obtain the Mask of Life- not all that creative. My rating- ** Glitches: Like a lot of games, Bionicle Heroes is chock-full of glitches. They range from annoying, such as the level freezing up, to aggravating (getting your save file deleted). Once, a Toa sunk underground into a weird place with just black ground and white sky. The immobilized Toa was looking up and vibrating uncontrollably, also slowly breaking to pieces. After taking a few pictures, the system was turned off for fear of permanently damaging the game and/or the PS2. My rating- Obnoxious Summary: This game will keep you occupied for along time. They could have done better on the story, but that isn't a major focus of the game anyway- **** (four stars out of five)

My son is a Lego maniac and love the Bionicles. This was his #1 most wanted Christmas gift. He plays with it and shares all his accomplishments when he reaches a new level. His friends also have it so they call each other for help on certain levels when they're stuck. He's having tons of fun!

It is less interesting than other Bionicle game ever. The Biobicle area involves a poor scenario and a few small challenge.
