I use one of these every other week just to help keep my skin clear of the dirt that gets trapped in the pours. The contour strips are the best on the market that I have seen. Just need to make sure that the strip isn't on for too long or else its very hard to pull off and can take some skin with it.

I love these strips. I do them once a week and my skin always feels so smooth after using them. I get a sick sense of satisfaction looking at what it removes, too.

So this is kind of a good news/bad news situation. When I used the pore strips, my nose did indeed look fabulous. I had noticed over time I was having to use a mattifying gel over my foundation to keep the shine and cavernous pores from showing. The Biore strips really did pull a lot of junk out of them and I could skip the gel afterwards.

However.....

Take the package directions seriously. They are not meant for delicate skin. Don't use toner or an exfoliant in that area for at least 24 hours. And, think about whether you really want to use them at all. These strips are basically an adhesive and a hair spray ingredient (so says the author of "Don't Go To the Cosmetics Counter Without Me.") They can irritate your skin terribly and in the long run aren't good for it. They cannot be used in combination with Retinol, AHA's or BHA's and will make spider veins more pronounced. Which is a shame because my pores' appearance really did improve immediately. But truth be told, you are probably better off investing in a good exfoliant and/or clay masque.

I love this product. While most imitation brands are basically the same (i.e. Walgreens), Biore is the way to go because I find it to be the most effective. This is the best way to prepare your face for pore strips and the results are great:

1) Take a hot, steamy shower. Make sure to remove all of your makeup before or during your shower. Use a warm bar of soap on your face so that it is completely clean and makeup free.
2) (Skip this step if you have extremely sensitive or damaged skin.) After the shower, combine a small amount of baking soda with water. It should have that "wet sand" feel. Use this to exfoliate your skin and clean your pores. Do NOT scrub it on your skin. Gently rub this on your face in circular motions for about 30 seconds. Be sure to fully rinse the baking soda off of your face with cold water. I usually stand over the sink and gently rub it off while I splash the cold water onto my face.
3) When you have completely rinsed off the baking soda, make sure your face is still fairly wet from the cold water and place the pore strips on. Keep them on until they are stiff.

(It should take about 10-15 minutes. If it is not working for you for some reason, DON'T panic. Simply wet your entire face until it slides right off. Do NOT rip it off or you will damage your skin.)

These three steps work for me every time. It's pretty amazing how much the pore strips pick up. I do this about once every week or two. I'd love to hear if it helps for you, so please let me know!

Every person I know that has used these really only uses them to look at it afterwards. Seriously. They work, my nose feels super smooth for weeks, and it brings out the kid in everyone to inspect what the strips pulled off your face.

These nose strips did not work very well for me as I have really stubborn blackheads, but I have found that following these steps will completely amaze or disgust (maybe both) you when you pull off that strip!

Materials needed:
Cotton Rounds (3 pads or so)
Bowl
Baking soda
One of these nose strips!

Steps:
1. Take a warm shower for 15-20 minutes to loosen your pores.
2. Fill a bowl with warm water and baking soda: about two parts water and one part baking soda. (you don't want it to be pasty, just cloudy)
3. Mix it and dunk the cotton rounds in there for a minute or two.
4. Once the cotton rounds are fully saturated with the warm baking soda mixture, completely cover your nose with the pads. (not the nostrils)
5. Keep the cotton rounds on your nose for 15 minutes. The mixture draws out the black heads.
6. Get your strip ready! Twist it softly so the slits open up, allowing optimal placement on your nose. Don't wash your face or rinse it!
7. Use the cotton round to dab some more of the baking soda mixture onto your nose (this is the "water" for the nose strip)
8. Place the strip on your nose. Keep on for 15-30 minutes until the strip becomes really firm and you know it's ready to be peeled.

Good:
-These Biore Pore Strips are really effective at removing the gunk on your nose.

Bad:
-Not a cure, but a treatment. Incredibly effective treatment at that!
-Leaves your nose slightly red, but that's obvious given the nature of the strips.
-Little pricey, much better on Amazon than drug stores though.

I did this once a week and it has really gotten rid of my stubborn blackheads. My skin is not that sensitive so it can take the harsh abrasive baking soda, but if your skin is fragile, just use the strips by itself first. I recommend these strips for anyone looking to remove their blackheads!

The box was damaged, and there is only 10 stripes in my box. When I checked the box, I found out there is a slip on the bottom of this box, so I guess that's why I missed 4 stripes. I would like to have other 4 strips back :(
