I had been reading about this prostate test that could be performed at home and finally came across it at drugstore.com through a special promotion. I knew my dad was having problems with sleepless nights due to frequent trips to the bathroom, but Mom and I couldn't get him to a doctor. I bought the BIOSAFE kit and brought it to Dad's house. After he realized that it was only a little finger nick test, he agreed to do the test. In only 7 days we received the results from the lab, and Dad's PSA was high, indicating that he had a prostate problem. We brought the results to the doctor, who performed additional testing and discovered that dad did have prostate cancer, but in the early stages. The doctor told us we were lucky to have caught the cancer when we did, and dad is doing great, thanks to this test.

I was very pleased with the test. It came quickly and the instructions were clear and simple. Once I sent it in to Biosafe Laboratory the results came back within a couple of weeks.

I took the test and mailed in the results. I got a phone call from the company that my test results were very high. I never received the written test results. I made an appointment with a urologist and took the same test using a normal lab. My results were normal.

I think this is a wonderful product to use in conjunction with - or in between - annual physician visits. Some insurance plans may not cover the costs of more than 2 PSA tests annually. If men are worried about rising levels in the meantime, this may be a terrific choice. I think it's also an excellent option for men who may not be making regular physical visits and are reluctant to get tested (wives/partners - take the initiative!). The fine print, however, reads that this kit is not for anyone post-prostate cancer treatment (which we didn't know when we ordered). The lowest reading goes only to .06. I highly recommend this product for anyone who wants to stay on top of PSA counts.

It did what I wanted but I will go to the Doctor the next time.

The results came back FAST and the explanations where great.

The one thing you should be aware of is it is not a foolproof test.

So go to the Doctor.

I did biosafe PSA test and at the same time went to a local clinic and had another PSA test made the result that came from the local clinic was almost 40% higher than Biosafe result. I am completely confused are there differnt methods with different results??? which one is the correct one.!!!

It seems I never received this product but was charged for it. Can you give me a refund?
