This is a very good motherboard. I had an old PC that was not working so I decided to replace the motherboard. I took the old motherboard out of the case salvaged all of the parts especially the CPU and I got some DDR2 memory for a reasonable price. Put everything together and loaded Windows XP operating system and I had a nice brand new computer faster than the original.
I did not plan any other upgrades for the PC, but it does have SATA and IDE and it has 2 pci slots and 2 pci express (x16 & x1)
It was a pretty simple project and I am glad I did it.

I've used this mobo in a budget gaming rig for many years, didn't give me any problems at all. I was able to update the BIOS without any issues, ran Windows XP smoothly. Won't except a lot of RAM, but it is an old board... was great back in the day. Would be a fine replacement for an older system you can't afford to replace outright.

That was the length of time, the mobo lasted. I replaced it 2 months after install, no warning just cuts out.

I spent another 270 having the mobo replaced and installed and lasted from 10/08 to present.

I would not go for this board if you want it to last longer than 2 years.

I only have a bad review and rating because the amount of money I had to spend to find out how good it was, the performance was very good and with more ram could have been much better (1g/ddr2).

I find it listed at 225 on amazon but thats too much to shell out when I see cheaper boards and cpu set-ups available now so I think I will just upgrade and not worry with it, shelf the case for future use and salvage what I can from the other hardware. I just hope my hard drive/s can make the upgrade.

Bought this in Aug. of 2006 from NewEgg with a
P4 3Ghz Processor as a combo deal.
And in this case, many of the peripherals were bought from AMAZON.COM

As of 06/20/2012, This project is still going strong.
A few replacements along the way have been ordered from Amazon.com
such as: Replaced CD ripper with DVD ripper,
Power supply from 400 watts to 640 watts. and so on....

With the P4's Hyper-threading unleashed through this motherboard,
I am able to Play games that require a core duo as minimum requirements.
Battlefields, FarCry 2, Red faction Guerrilla, the Civilization Series.
CnC 001 through 4 and so on....
Great Board, Great BIOS.
