Bio-D-Mulsion Forte Basic concepts and physiologic function
Vitamin D has a well-established role in calcium homeostasis and the maintenance of healthy bone.
Biotics' Bio-D-Mulsion has excellent absorption due to our unique emulsification process. Our previous research with emulsification showed that absorption of CoQ-10 was greatly increased by emulsification, resulting in higher serum levels at improved cost-effectiveness.*
Recent articles indicate that the prevalence of vitamin D deficiency is much higher than previously recognized (more than 90% in patients with chronic pain, according to a recent study published by the Mayo Clinic), and that vitamin D supplementation is much safer than previously recognized. The recent studies by Al Faraj (2003), Vieth, Chan, and MacFarlane (2001), and Heaney et al (2003) all used daily doses of 4,000 IU per day or more with no evidence of adverse effects.
Recent articles have also suggested that vitamin D may have a role in the prevention and treatment of many chronic diseases. We are clearly on the verge of a paradigm shift with regard to our understanding and clinical use of vitamin D.

Per info on the 1 oz. bottle, it contains 750 drops each delivering 2000 mg. Vitamin D (as cholecalciferol). One drop/day on the tongue, which tastes slightly sweet, is much easier to take than than the equivalent mg in pill form. Highly recommend it for the quality, and the price makes it an excellent value.

Our doctor told my wife and me that we need a lot more vitamin D than typically provided in the multiple vitamin capsules. He recommended this. While we could not prove it. We seem to be much healthier after taking this.

I was having some health problems and my doctor tested my Vitamin D levels. It turned out that I was extremely low, and she recommended Bio D-Mulsion Forte. As per my doctor's recommendation, I take 5 drops each day of the 2000 mg. She monitors my blood levels to make sure I don't accidentally overdose myself.
My general health has improved in the last few months, and my immunity is so much better that I have not caught any "bug" that goes around since I started taking this product - even though I live with and care for two elementary age granddaughters who catch and carry every illness that goes around their school. Now, I have purchased the 400 mg strength, and give it to my granddaughters (along with cod liver oil) every day before school. They seem to be sick less often, and recover faster when they do catch something. I have always been suseptible to severe colds and have developed a seasonal asthma because years of coughing have damaged my breathing passages. It is important to minimize my risk of getting winter colds and this vitamin D has helped considerably. A note about the price: I purchased this on Amazon for around $20.00, but my doctor charged me $250.00 for exactly the same product. I was glad to get such in important remedy at any price, but it is much cheaper here. I say, "Get it from Amazon".
