5.0 out of 5 stars There's a reason it's used by professionals
Just a tiny bit of this will work for a half hour of rubbin'. It feels great and is not greasy and will last forever. I highly reccomend it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Ok If You Don't Mind The Smell
I originally rated it higher, but now that I've tried Biotone's Gel, I find that far superior.

This creme is very thick--you have to rub it on your hands vigorously to "warm it up" and make the consistency easier to massage with.

It has a fairly high degree of resistance vs glide, which makes it more conducive to very deep work.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love Dual Purpose!!, March 2, 2007
By
I have been working as a licensed massage therapist for 5 years, I was introduced to this product while in school, and I feel it is one of the best products available. Its consistency is excellent for general massage as well as deeper work. I especially love how it melts like butter! It starts as a white cream, and with the warmth of your hands as you rub them together it changes to a clear almost-oil-like consistency. The scent is very subtle and I have even incorporated some light aromatherapy with it. Try it - you won't be sorry!

5.0 out of 5 stars Biotone is the best!, March 20, 2009
I've been using Biotone Dual Purpose cream for as long as i've been in body-work (almost 18 years). For the kind of work i specialize in, it's ideal -- providing enough glide when/if i need it, but never too slippery, provided i don't apply too much. ;o) The scent is always fresh and clean, and the 1/2 gallon i buy every year lasts an entire 12 months for me...sometimes longer (i do mostly myofascial and NMTherapy, which often doesn't use any lube). I'm sure i'll be using this product until i retire...in about 4 years.

5.0 out of 5 stars Yet to find fault., February 14, 2009

This review is from: Biotone Dual Purpose Creme (Health and Beauty)
I'm a fitness freak that's currently taking a class for Personal Training certification. I've had a bad habit of pushing myself hard over the years. Last year I started going to a very good massage therapist and advisor who happens to use Biotone Dual Purpose Creme on me. It has a light odor that's pleasant and has a slightly greasy/oily quality for gliding purposes. I thought it might stain my clothes, but nope, it does not. Unlike another reviewer, it's yet to be near my tongue and I recommend this product.

While technically odorless--as in they do not add a scent--it does have a distinctive odor, which I personally do not like.

2.0 out of 5 stars Great smell, great feel but adverse reaction, May 25, 2011
I am a licensed massage therapist in California and absolutely love using this stuff!! That be said however, I, like a few other therapists have found can no longer use this stuff because of hiving despite the new formulations. I have hyper sensitive skin as well a celiacs so I am super cautious of what I use on my clients and myself. I have just begun to develop hives along my hands and forearms while working on clients and it has only worsened with my occasional denial. I used the newly formulated cream for a year and just started to have a problem with it. Normally I would chalk this up to the insanity of my immune system however, I am not the only therapist that has developed a sensitivity to this cream.

I would love to give biotone 5 stars for this great smelling cream, however, with my personal reaction and many others to the newly formulated cream I give it a two for the pretention of something that could be so great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product, January 16, 2012

I originally tried the "Biotone Advanced Therapy Lotion - Half Gallon" which was a good lotion, but it didn't seem to last very long and being in a pump bottle meant I had to buy a pump and the bottom 1/8 of the bottle was practically unusable. I got the 14oz of this product first to test it out. It was thicker and seemed to last much longer. A little bit goes a long way. Now I can use this huge container to refill my 14oz container. I also like that it is paraben free and contains arnica.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Massage Creme, September 5, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
My physical therapist used this on me, which is how I first became aware of it. It's not greasy, doesn't have any oily feel to it once on your body, and doesn't get absorbed very fast. I thought it was great when it was used on me, so I bought a big tub of it. Not gonna run out any time soon and I love it. It's the best thing for massages I've found for personal use at home. Would recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it!, August 9, 2011
I really love this creme! It goes on smooth and completely odorless. It has a bit of a texture to it...almost grainy, but not quite. I noticed it makes it easier to do deep work because the texture makes me less prone to slipping.
