After reading this book, my daughter hugged it and said, 'I'm not the only one that feels like this'. That in itself made this book worth more than I paid for it!!! My daughter usually doesn't finish any book in one sitting, it doesn't matter how short it is. this book she was reading in the car while I was driving and she would say, 'listen to this momma. that's what I do.' If you have a child with bipolar this is a MUST have.

A good book for kids. It lets them know that they are not the only one facing the types of feelings associated with bipolar disease. It doesn't offer any explanations or anything in depth, but it does acknowledge their feelings. Sometimes that is all young kids need - especially when it is coming from a story book for kids. It also gives normal kids a sense of what their bipolar sibling or friend is going through. A nice book to have on your shelf to read together in the low periods.

I got this book when my bipolar son was much younger and struggling to understand his problems. This really helped him and his therapist used it to help him chart his own "bipolar roller coaster".

My 11 year old bipolar daughter really loved this book, she felt as though somebody understood how she feels. I would have liked for the characted to describe more ways to handle situations, but overall I liked it also.

My 8 year old son is bipolar and while he attends therapy biweekly and has a group therapy session every semester for 6 weeks...somehow having his feelings, thoughts in print form helped him to feel like he's not alone. It doesn't give any great way cure-alls or anything like that, instead a printed, colorful version of how these kids feel.

After reading it the first time, he wanted to take it to school and share with his aide, teachers and "friends". Maybe they could learn to understand just a bit better.....

I found this book during a desperate search for something to help me with a bipolar child. This book was great as it helped my client establish a picture and words for his emotional shifts.

I use this book with my clients to help them understand their diagnosis. They have commented that they can relate with the character and the book has helped them understand they are not alone. I highly recommend this book!

A roller coaster is always a good description for the emotional highs and lows suffering from bipolar. The book has pictures drawn by children so it relates easily to other children. The negative is that the book doesn't completely explain the repercussions of the disorder and it's rather flimsy in material.

Not only did my 8 year-old, bipolar, daughter enjoy this, but it has been a great tool for educating others. My daughter's therapist is getting a copy for his office.
