At first I thought it was exactly what I wanted. That ended quickly when I rubbed the piece I was working on. IT RUBS OFF!! It takes no effort to rub it completely off! It works by oxidizing the aluminum and leaving a black layer on top. The layer basically looks like ash and rubs off just like ash would with even the lightest of contact. I only gave it one star because it won't allow you to give zero stars. I'd give negative stars on this if I could!! Don't waste your money like I did.

I scratched my lower while installing the trigger guard and used this to touch up a small area. I applied with a q-tip and now it looks perfect. I'm very happy with the purchase shipping was slow but product arrived before estimated time

Once I stripped the gun, I applied this to the aluminum parts, right after the first application, I was so excited, deep black. But then the instructions say to wipe off the chemicals and there went the black! What is left is bright aluminum. It looks terrible. And didnt work at all. Thanks for nothin! Amazon remove this product!!

prolly wouldnt waste my money again stick with some of their touch up paint pens this didnt seem to work very well

Didn't stick very well. Subsequent coats smeared the first coat. Comes off afterward quite easily. I got better results from a Sharpy!

As a touch -up this is great, However as for larger areas it just does not seem to get the job done. Follow Directions , and it still leaves your residue on your hands even after it dries. So take all claims With a grain of salt.
