So far I have punished my new targets with over 1000 rounds of ammo. The first 500 rounds were just soft nosed as recommended. No damage to the target except for copious amounts of paint loss - of course that could be expected. The next 500 rounds were copper plated .22 shells. The manufacturer said not to use these so of course I ignored the advice. On impact there is a VERY SMALL impression made. No real damage. I guess in that sense it may be a bit overbuilt which is good.

PRODUCT DIMENSIONS:

Target Diameter: 2 INCHES
Total Width: 17 INCHES
Height to bar: 15 INCHES (varies according placement)

At first when I hit them they would sometimes flip and then bounce back down. I realized that I had the target set at too steep of an angle. I fixed the way the target sat and had no more problems.

When I am done shooting I take a can of orange spray paint and quickly spray both sides of the fippers so they are nice and pretty for the next time I shoot.

This is soooo much better than the spinners that take forever to stop wobbling from impacts. This gives much more of a shooting gallery feel. My .22 will get a lot more exercise until the snow drives me inside for the winter- actually if I shot from the kitchen window...hmmmm.

I purchased this for use with my .22 rifle as well as a high power pellet gun. The pellet gun, with lead pellets, shoots at ~1000 fps. At a distance long enough to make shooting at this target a challenge with a scope (which I keep mounted) even this 1000 fps pellet gun doesn't even come close to hitting the targets hard enough to spin them.

I was excited to find this target since it seems there are no other resettable targets on the market which can handle pellet guns firing >750 fps. Some reviews claimed that this one could be used with such pellet guns. I would imagine that at closer range, distances suitable for shooting without the scope, it might be possible to set this target but I generally prefer to use the scope so I want to keep it mounted.

For .22 shooting this thing is great! The build quality is also excellent.

One thing, check the dimensions. Other reviewers had mentioned it so I was aware, but this thing is smaller than it might seem in the photos.

I use this for target practice using .22 shorts and .22LR HPs at 50 - 75 + feet. The tagets flip relianly at 75' if I have a solid hit. At 50 feet with 22 shorts the targets flip with authority.

Aside from smudges from the slugs, there has been no damage to the unit whatsoever. That includes the non-target surfaces when I throw a bad shot.

I would buy this product again.

If you put it to close, a 22 Lr knocks it so hard that it flips up and bounces back down. It seems to work best for me at around 100 yds with Remington bulk ammunition. At that range it is somewhat challenging too. I wouldn't expect to use it at 25 yds or with a pellet gun and get the full effect, but it will work for that too. I will most likely get a few of these so I can put them at different distances and locations around my shooting area. This is a great value in targets. Oh, and be sure to pick up some fluorescent spray paint, it shouldn't take you long to knock of the paper stuck to targets. A little spray paint will take care of that for you.

I attached the swinger to a platform and placed it on top of a plastic milk carton for better heigth and stability. It is a lot of fun for target shooting.

I've used this target quite a bit now and I still enjoy it. I've been using the Ruger 10/22 and this target has worked great. I've only had it at a maximum of about 50 yards and I've been able to hit it pretty well. The stickers are nice to be able to see what you want to shoot at a distance, but they come off pretty quick. After the stickers ran out I started spray painting the ends of the target red. It helps to be able to see them more easily. The target does get dinged up a bit, but that is the nature of anything you are going to be shooting at. All in all, I'm glad I bought it.

For the money excellent target, I have used it twice now and it holds up very well, the 22's just chip the paint and knock off the paper orange targets. It resets as described very happy with it. The paper targets that are pasted on the metal targets can easily be replaced with flourescent orange tape. I would definitely recommend. I even had one young boy shooting acroos range at my target because he was bored with the paper targets. His father had him apologize to me, and said he just likes to see some results.
