5.0 out of 5 stars EXCELENTE!!!
This stuff is GREAT! Cleaning the AR and the semi-auto pistols has never been easier and they are "new" clean when finished. Clean your weapon over a towel of some sort maybe in the trash can, let the "dirt," overspray and runoff end up on the towel. The excess chemicals evaporate and just the "dirt" is left on the towel not the weapon. VERY EASY. A couple of notes - this...

If you have ever used contact cleaner, this is the same stuff. It will harm your stocks if not oiled right after use. It really won't get all the grim off without a brush.

VERY EASY. A couple of notes - this stuff cleans so well it is extremely important to lubricate after cleaning as the surfaces will be left CLEAN and DRY. Also it is flammable so don't smoke or have any ignition source nearby when using. No damage to any of the synthetics found in composite construction or softening of grips such as Hogue. I will not clean without this ever again!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Works like it says, October 4, 2011

This review is from: Birchwood Casey Gun Scrubber Synthetic Safe Cleaner (Sports)
I use it on my Glock and it works great! Immediately dissolves everything and I can use it on the plastic parts too. After the gun scrubber treatment I use some ballistol for the barrel, and rails for lubrication and protection. This stuff even works great as a solvent for non-gun related projects. If you're into computers like I am, you can spray down components to dissolve thermal paste! Stuff dries in seconds.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Product!, February 7, 2011
This review is from: Birchwood Casey Gun Scrubber Synthetic Safe Cleaner (Sports)
I purchased this along with a milsurp Mosin Nagant in the hopes that it would help me clean off the cosmoline. It worked awesome! I could see the cosmoline disolve as I sprayed. It is messy, so do it outside, or in a place you dont mind getting the drippings all over. But it turned my cosmoline covered hunk of metal and wood into a beautiful rifle! I will continue to use this product for all of my heavy duty cleaning needs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Aerosol Gun Solvent, November 27, 2010

Excellent product. Works Great to clean my pistols when I do not wish to break them down completely for cleaning. The powerful spray gets in all the hard to access places and you can see the grime rushing out. Great time saver! I will definitely buy more of this when I run out. However, I will use regular liquid solvent when I do break down my pistols for a more thorough cleaning.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works well, but expensive, December 27, 2011

I've been using Birchwood Casey Gun Scrubber for years now. It does a good job of getting the "gunk" out of the tight spots on rifles and pistols. I shoot a lot of cheaper (i.e., dirty) 5.56 ammo in my AR, and Gun Scrubber is a great help in cleaning up the accumulated crud after a long shooting session.

This won't do away with the requirement for a little patience and elbow grease in your gun cleaning routine, but it certainly does speed up the process. Given the price, I use Gun Scrubber somewhat sparingly. If it were about half the price, I'd probably use it in a lot more cleaning applications.

It's a good product, albeit expensive.
