5.0 out of 5 stars BETTER THAN I THOUGHT, February 11, 2007

I started target shooting in mid-2006. I started with standard paper targets with red or black center dots. Found it hard to know really where I was hitting. Then I tried some of Shoot N C's. They are a must have for me and anyone learning. I find myself handing 1 out to anyone who is just starting for the 1st time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Cool Product, Good price at $0.66 each, April 9, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Birchwood Casey Shoot-N-C 8-Inch Round Target (30 Sheet Pack) (Sports)
At the time I bought this 30 pack the price was $20 delivered for a per-target price of $0.66 each. This is a great value, as the local Wal-Mart sells a pack that is about $1 each.

Each target is a peel-and-stick "label". It adheres excellent to cardboard and clean, flat surfaces. I adheres OK to rougher surfaces like old, splintering plywood. I affixed this directly to an old shot-up apple crate and ended up having to supplement a little duct tape to keep it on when the wind kicked up.

Every target has four "pasties" that you can peel off and affix to the target after you've shot it. Each pasty is large enough to cover 2 or 3 .45 caliber holes, depending on how close your grouping is. The pasties are useful enough to extend each target by at least one more shooting group.

Here is a great suggestion to really extend the life of each target -- if you have guns of multiple calibers, start with your lowest caliber and work your way up. You can easily tell the difference between your .22 caliber hitsvs. your 9mm vs. your .45 caliber.

Using this methodology, you could probably use a single target up to 6 times, unless you are a nail driver and shoot out your bullseye really quickly!

The only downsides I can say are:

1) These targets are much more expensive than paper targets, but they're so easy to see that they're totally worth it for practicing your shooting and making adjustments after each shot.

2) The pasties can sometimes fly off when they get hit. Make sure you give them a good press and seal.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Helpful Aid - Highly Recommended!, April 24, 2010
This review is from: Birchwood Casey Shoot-N-C 8-Inch Round Target (30 Sheet Pack) (Sports)
"Shoot-N-C" are just about the best aid for target shooters! These are particularly helpful to spot where your shots are hitting as there is coating that flakes away, revealing a florescent ring around the entry hole. I like to use them when using a small caliber (like .22) at distances over 50' because my aging eyes can't always pick out the hits without these.

In addition, they also are stickers that can be placed over previously shot paper targets or even applied to regular sheets of paper to give a fresh target area. My kids like the Birchwood Casey Dirty Bird Multi-Color Target 8" (Per 20) Md: 35820. as they are more colorful and better indicate how far away from the bullseye you have hit.

Highly recommended!

These are a great buy and are better than pictured -- at least mine are. What makes them better is that each sheet comes with 6 black and 6 orange pasters.

5.0 out of 5 stars See where you hit, September 4, 2011

I love the Shoot-N-C targets. They make it so much easier to see where you hit the target, especially at longer distances. The self adhesive back sure beats having to bring a roll of tape or staple gun too the range.

Does exactly what its supposed to do. Helped me improve my aim and got me to focus on trigger control. You can see where each bullet hits instantly despite distances of 25 yards or more. I highly recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect, December 24, 2011

These targets are perfect! Bought them through Amazon. I just stick them on the targets at the range and I can really see where the bullets go. The place I go is kind of dark so that really helps. No problems with them sticking on the targets and they last a long time. Great.

I am buying 6" shoot-n-c targets all the time. They are easy to stick to the underlying target and shots are very well visibile from 15, 25 yrds with the naked eye.

This is a nice value pack! They show the hits well with a bright yellow/green and they are simple to peel and stick. Wish these came with more pasters (they only come with 4 per target) but for the price of this pack I will just go to the dollar store and pick up some of those round dot stickers lol will buy these again
