This product is one of the best rub on finishes for gun stocks and also furniture. My wife and I use it as a rub in polish on furniture that is dry and dull. Tru-Oil gives a fine luster finish.

Works great and cures much faster than BLO. On most woods cures in ~2hours at ~70ºF. On oily wood takes longer up to around 30 hours; but still faster than BLO and much faster than tung oil (the real stuff not the fake wiping varnish). Looks very nice and is more durable than BLO; but needs a topcoat for hard use. One drawback is that its easy to get slightly uneven application and unless you catch that in ~15 minutes needs to cure and be sanded out. Not cheap but real oil (walnut, almond, tung) or BLO aren't cheap either. Not an edible finish like pure walnut or tung oil.
