This gazing ball is a welcome addition to any garden. I purchased it as
a gift as I already have one myself and really enjoy it. It is so much
more attractive than the plain gazing balls.

I purchased this item to replace a blue irredescent gazing globe I had after my lawn maintenance guy accidentally broke it. As much as I like the old one, the Bird Brain is 100% more beautiful. Because this is handblown and no two exactly alike, makes for a very unique item. The irredescence in the overall green, is beautiful in both full sun and at sunset and sunrise when it takes on a completely different hue. Also, the other colors that were randomly added during the glass blowing process make for a unique splash of color. I have it right outside my pool screen enclosure in my shrub bed which allows me to enjoy it constantly. Also, I can see it from my family room windows when I am indoors. As the sun moves over the backyard (which faces south)the gazing globe is a constant change in hues as the sun hits it differently from different angles. Also, over and above the beauty, this gazing ball is heavy glass. The base is VERY thick weighting in down in the stand it sits on. The glass of the globe is also very substantially thick, not the paper thin type you would purchase at the local well know budget department stores. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. I had company shortly after I purchased it and she marveled at its beauty, never having seen one like it. I am sure it will be something I will enjoy for many years to come.

My kids have broken numerous other gazing globes, but this one is very substantial and thick, hopefully they aren't able to break this. It is beautiful colors, can't wait to gaze at it all summer long...

I was very impressed with this gazing globe when it arrived. It's much thicker than most on the market. But what prompted me to write this review was the hail storm that came through my neighborhood yesterday. I wasn't home at the time, but when I arrived home there were piles of pea size hail around my house. I immediately checked my Bird Brain Gazing Globe, which I found still in one piece and no cracks that I could find. My cheaper, thinner globe did not fair so well, it was in many pieces. I was reluctant to pay $43.99 for a gazing globe, but it was well worth it.

I have a larger version of this ball in Gold and it is the most treasured piece of Garden art I have....It is the center piece of an overlooked shade garden and I cannot wait until next spring to add this one and the Blue Gazing ball to my other gardens....I have many...All are works in progress....Someday they may be complete.

Purchased the bird brain gazing ball for a birthday gift for my daughter.It is beautiful and she was very pleased.
