Spiral design allows cardinals, grosbeaks, and other desirable large songbirds to feed. With normal "perch" tube feeders, these birds have difficulty feeding without a seed tray. Lifetime warranty on workmanship and normal wear and tear. Aluminum and stainless steel parts. Squirrel-proof patented "locking lid." Just twist and lock those pesky varmints out. Easy to clean - "Twist & Clean" (patent pending) easy-clean bottom comes completely off for easy cleaning. No screws to mess with. Easy to hang - looped wire hanging cable included (150 lb. test) and attached. Holds cap so you don't have to wonder where you put it. Feeders come completely assembled in beautiful open view box. We attract hundreds of House Finches to our yard (Coastal Southern California) with this feeder filled with black oil sunflower seed. The optional seed catch tray helps the mourning doves get at the seed, but there is still a layer of empty shells under the feeder. The tray doesn't really catch very much!

We have several of these feeders and they always attract numerous birds using black oil sunflower seed. While our other feeders (Droll Yankee, etc.) are often emptied by deer, these are not . Of course nothing stops squirrels, chipmunks and raccoons.

We get tons of great birds in our area (mideast) and these feeders are perfect for all kinds of feed. We have a couple with just shelled sunflower seeds and a couple with fruit and nut mixtures, which attract tons of Goldfinches, flickers, Cardinals etc. We also have a baffle on our feeders so we have no problems with squirrels pulling out the green metal rings. If you can keep squirrels off of them, they are great feeders.
