THe Da Bird toy is great, it gets even my lazy never plays cat up and moving and jumping. the refill options also keep it new and exciting. Don't waste money buying a cheap store brand, the craftmanship is great.

My cat, a young and active Turkish Angora, is the most blasée creature when it comes to toys and easily unamused by the ones she deems offensive to her intelligence (case in point: the laser pointer, also included in the pack, with which she was fascinated for about five and a half seconds). Not so with Da Bird! I bought this multi-version, which comes with five different attachments as I wanted to test out which ones my kitty would most respond to. And the winner is, definitely, the original feather toy. She'll respond to the other ones but loses more quickly interest in them. I assume, the reason is that the feather attachment is the most "natural" looking and feeling (and if you will, sounding; it makes a very nice swishy sound when you swing it around, almost like a bird flapping its wings). She goes literally crazy over the thing and has even taken to bringing it to bed at night. The pole is sturdy and long, and the various attachments can be easily switched; however, the feather attachment started looking a little worn down after a couple days' play, albeit very intense play. But fortunately, this package comes with one extra feather refill, and more can be bought separately in packs of 3 or 36. I'll be probably having to invest in one of those refill packs soon, if my cat continues to love this toy as much as she has been for the last week or so. I am keeping my fingers crossed (when, incidentally, not using them to swing around the the pole of Da Bird), since I noticed that my cat's mood is so much better after a good, playful "work-out" with this ingeniously simple yet effective cat toy.

We have a 1 year old cat and a 14 year old cat. This product was recommended in Cat Fancy so I ordered the whole pack. Our younger cat was WAY more interested, especially in the feather attachment. If you fling this toy back and forth in the air like you are fly fishing, the feathers seem to rotate and flutter. Our little cat does backflips, somersaults, and even high jumps where she catches the feathers in her mouth!! My husband (who is less of a cat person) can position himself in the middle of the room with the little cat to one side jumping and catching while the big older cat is on the other side, 'hiding' behind a table leg, jumping forward and pouncing on the feathers on the floor.

The wand handle and string are well put together and sturdy. With this level of play we have had to replace the feather head once in two months. It's great not having to buy an entire new toy. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by Magic and Mardi Gras.
