Book Description

9 and up4 and up
From Preface: Because children invariably ask for "more" of the stories they find interesting, this little book of continuous narrative has been written. Every incident is found in the Lewis and Clark Journals, so that the child's frequent question, "Is it true?" can be answered in the affirmative.

2.0 out of 5 stars The Bird-Woman of the Lewis and Clark Expecition, January 25, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
As a teacher I would not read or have my young students read this book. It is written in a manner that does not help students to learn about a wonderful woman and the trip of a life time. The author wrote in a choppy child like manner, and then used words and phrases a child would not understand. I want my students to see and hear sentences that flow and are very precise and understandable.
