Although other reviewers of this product were not 100% happy, I was desperate, so I purchased anyway. It did take a few days as mentioned in the product's directions for it to take full effect. I have considered buying another for a spare because it does work. Our back yard was a very nasty mess to say the least, now we can enjoy our yard again! I would recommend to anyone with a bird problem.

This was not silent as advertised- all of my family and my dogs could hear the sound. We will not be able to use it b/c the high pitched sound gave us a headache after 10 minutes.

I beleive this product has worked. We have had only one bird fly into our cover porch. And it seem very confused and lost. Flew away and never came back..

I have a home which I only occupy half the year or so. Since the house was constructed, swallows would build mud nests on a brick wall above the front door which has a covered porch. Because nobody was there to shoo them away, their "waste products" destroyed an expensive entry door over the course of a couple years. I purchased the Bird-X last year before locking the house up for the spring. I watched the birds that were currently occupying the nest freak out for about 2 hours after I put this thing up, it was hilarious! They eventually left, and I and was pleased to find no new bird nest when I returned in the fall. Better yet, I've had this thing up for almost a year on the ORIGINAL set of batteries (set on motion detect mode)! However, contrary to the manual, humans CAN hear the annoying sound even when the frequency is set for the highest value. It is somewhat annoying, and delivery folks kind of freak out a little when dropping stuff off on my front door. Still, I am very happy that this thing works! No more birds! Wish I had bought this sooner, BEFORE the finish on a $1200 entry door was all but destroyed by bird poop!

Researched this item before we bought but didn't find much one way or the other. We've had it about 2 months and it doesn't seem to work on any of the birds around us. Pigeons still roost, in fact often on top of this unit. Have tried alternating frequencies but that doesn't work either. We don't have the AC adapter so it eats through batteries pretty quickly. The only thing it does seem to work on is keeping the neighborhood kids from partying across the street from our house. The red light activates with motion and looks like an alarm sensor.

I guess when you see a whole flock of pigeons standing on or next to this thing, I'm guessing it doesn't work. Switched frequencies all the time and still nothing. Not to mention to wonderful ear piercing screech that this thing let's out scares all of my guests away. At least it scares something away, but not all my guests are pests.

I had small birds in my barn, and the mess was bad. I tried load noise, leaving on a radio, nothing worked. I got this Bird-X BG and and put it on continuous, most left the first week, and a few it took a month but they are all gone now and it is set to motion sensor so we can still see the birds outside. Great product

I tried several settings and locations as directed by the manufacturer and the unit failed to keep birds off of my back porch.

I bought two of these speakers to deter Great Blue Herons from perching on my screen enclosure and defacating all over my screen and patio. So far, it's worked. I'm not sure what others on this site are complaining about regarding noise. These are ultrasonic and I cannot hear anything. Neither can my wife, my kids, or my dog (who is going deaf anyway, so who knows if dogs can hear this). It's mounted right outside my bedroom window, set on high, and I have never heard it. But I think the birds do. Since I put them up several months ago, only one incident, as opposed to every other day prior to installing the speakers. I'm hoping they continue to work this well!

I bought this product because I have a pigeon problem. Well, instead of repelling the pigeons, it actually attracted more of them. In addition, I noticed possums in my yard that were never there before. And, finally, it DID repel the cardinals and woodpeckers, which it wasn't supposed to! And, yes, I followed the instructions to the letter. So, I would not recommend this product. What DID work for me, as far as the pigeons are concerned, were the holographic tape and owls that I bought. When there's a breeze and the tape and owls are moving around, the pigeons run the other way. So, that's what I would recommend to someone who is trying to get rid of pigeons.
