I bought 3 of these coyotes to keep a 3-4 acre lawn free of specifically Canada geese. The coyotes look very life-like from a distance and move somewhat in a light breeze, to add to the effect.

They seem to work well, but first I made a point of scaring away the geese with a real dog - and any dog will do as long as it's able and willing to have fun chasing geese. Once that's done, the coyotes in place will keep them away. But, as always, animal control is never foolproof, and the geese came back, but not really comfortable. So they were easy to scare away again.

So, with these coyotes and minimal effort, we've had our lawn goose-free for about two months. I think it's worth it, and Amazon definitely has the best price I found.

The Coyote Replica does the job. We call him Mr. Coyote and my husband moves it around every couple of days to keep the geese convinced he is real. The geese start to land then the see Mr. Coyote and next thing you know, they are honking away and flying madly back up and away from our lawn. So success! It is also great for entertainment purposes. People driving by our house stop, backup and stare and point at Mr. Coyote. They seem to think he is real at first too!

The coyote replica is so real looking that it even scares me and I know it is there. Does a great job of keeping the Canada Geese away from my end of the pond.

I live by a creek in WV, and have hed trouble with Geese for a long time. I don't mind the Geese so much, it,s whot they leave behind, from there behind. The old saying " Poop like a Goose" is very true.

"Willie Coyote" [Bird-X Coyote] has done a good job of keeping the Geese away from my pavilion so far. 2 weeks. I move him every 2 days so they don't get use to him being in one spot. He was much cheeper from Amazon.

We live on a lake north of Boston. We have a large meadow in the back and it is primo territory for canada geese. We've tried reflective balls, twine, spray. We have a poodle who can't be bothered. So we bought the coyote. We moved it everyday to a different spot. It scared the poodle for a day or two. But after a few days, the geese figured it out. They're not quaking in the webbed feet! We'll keep moving the beast but we think we're been out-geesed again.

Sorry, I've tried just about everything and this is no exception. Does not keep the geese away. I put it near the creek, moved it around after a few days to make it look like the coyote was moving but the nasty poopers still came back time and time again.

Outside of my dog being on a run (I live in the northeast and don't put the dog out back until the weather stays warmer), being in the yard myself, nothing seemed to work. In the directions with the coyote it mentioned tying some type of string at 6" and 12" intervals to keep them out.

First I tried fishing line but the deer would run through at night and break it. I finally bought some wire (the kind they use for the electric dog fences) and I tied 2 rows of it from tree to tree along the creek and then up to my woodpile. This seemed to work better but then they started getting really brazen and walked up my neighbors yard and around the woodpile to get to my yard. Since I have nothing to tie the wire to past the woodpile, I laid some tomato cages down end to end to block the access. It doesn't look very nice (especially now that it's covered in snow from our blizzard this week) but it works. Of course, they don't really show up when there's snow on the ground but at least I won't get agitated and have to run out there with the dog to chase them away 30 times a day once the snow melts.

Not as lifelike and full bodied as I expected. The pics on Amazon are not like the items I received. A little Photo Shopping?

I am not satisfied with the results of the Coyote. The decoy itself is excellant but the result I was looking for was not. "Wiley" worked for the first and only the first day I placed it out to deter the geese. Now they just laugh at him. Anyways I am still looking for a solution to my problem. Thanks for allowing me to rate this product.

ps. It did scare the Pooper Scooper I have to clean up after my dogs giving me a laugh as well!!

I had a huge problem with geese droppings in my backyard as I live on a small lake. Since setting up the coyote I love seeing the geese sitting in the water to afraid to come into my backyard. I've had it up for about 2 weeks and is still working great.

This item is very lifelike....used some packaging plastic to stuff inside the body to bulk him up a bit. We used the decoy this fall on our HS baseball field to keep the geese away. It does seem to be working. I think the key is to move it around every day or two.

Do not hammer in the stake from the top down as you can damage the stake itself..
