I placed several rows of these on top of a shed to keep raccoons, opossums, and feral cats from stepping down off a fence onto the shed and using it as a bathroom. They worked great. The animals will not step down onto the shed with these in place.

Update: Unfortunately, the raccoons have figured out a way to step around or bend this thing, and it does not keep them off the shed. I am now trapping them instead. The product does not advertise that they deter raccoons, so I can't say it is a knock against them. I was just hoping it would.

Handy scored-spots to break to length for various locations. easy to use and install. I recommend it.

I tried squirrel repellent and it did not work.

So, next step was the spikes. I bought a box of these and place where the squirrels sit and chew on the molding along an eave of the house. Do they work, yes. Do I like them, not really. You can't see them from the road, but anyone walking up to my house can see them. So, they are, truthfully, an eyesore. For a barn or shed, they would be okay, but not for a front entrance of a house. So, for me, they are a temporary solution to my squirrel problem. Next step, get out the chainsaw and remove the trees providing access to the roof.

Arrived as promised and ahead of schedule! The dealer went above and beyond to make our first purchase right. These bird spikes have completely eliminated the bird problem on our front porch! Birds fly in and then fly away because they have no place to land. Very bird friendly because the spikes don't poison or hurt they just "redirect" the birds to a different location and everyone is happy and our porch is clean!

Metal "spikes" will last a lot longer than those plastic versions

Works great. Screwed to front, top lip of gutters. Easy install and steel spikes should last a long time. I used above my entryway, bought 2 packs. Took about 30 minutes total to install, but will need your own screws. The spike base is plastic, could be made of metal though. Fast shipping. Did I mention NO MORE POOP?

My neighbor had a new patio put in, that extended under the branches of a tree. Every morning there were bird droppings under one of the branches. We put these bird spikes on that branch and now the patio stays clean. Worked great.

I bought this to keep birds from nesting on a molding ledge above my front door. What we've discovered is that they find it a perfect anchor and reinforcement for their homebuilding. Perhaps larger birds are discouraged by this product, but it seems to be a real benefit for our smaller feathered friends. My wife and I have nicknamed it birdie rebar!

PRODUCT IS EASY TO INSTALL AND AN EFFECTIVE
DETERRAND TO BIRDS.

Easy to install and adjust length as needed. The pieces just snap to the needed length. Screwed it in place and done! Construction should hold up well in our Maine winters. I bought a scond for another dock....nasty seagulls beware!
