Bird-X, the manufacturer of the SongBird Magnet, had a set-back in August when their manufacturing plant in China closed its doors without telling them. Since then, we have been taking back-orders for the units. Well, today, Jan. 19, 2011, the new units finally arrived and all back orders are being filled. We apologize for any delay, but no other company even had these units just like us.

However, people who couldn't wait for the new units to get in complained enough to Amazon that they had us PERMANENTLY removed from being able to sell these units here on this site. The number of song birds in the area did not increase. A Squire proof bird feeder works better. I will test it again in another location.

Worked great for the first season, but when I stored it for the winter & pulled it out this spring it would not work properly. mounted it in an area where it was protected from the elements despite it being weatherproof. The sound was distorted & would fade. Instead of buying another one I found a CD which allows me to make copies if needed & works fine in my portable CD player.

This product was expensive compared to the $10.00 I spent on the CD. I was disappointed.

The Bird-X purple martin bird caller sounded good but only lasted 1 week. After that it stopped working for no apparent reason. I returned it to the supplier and am waiting for my refund. I purchased it because of the automatic daybreak turn on sensor. Great idea, too bad it didn't last.
