I installed bird spikes and hung Terror Eyes on my back porch in hopes of deterring pigeons from landing. The spikes worked, pigeons no longer land on my water heater- terror eyes however, did not. After the initial installation, pigeons didn't land on my porch for about 6 days. When I noticed pigeons landing on my porch again I moved terror eyes to another location on my porch. The pigeons don't seem to be intimidated by it, they land within a foot of it, and I still catch them sleeping on my porch. I'm not saying it has absolutely no effect on the birds, but it did not keep them away 100%. At least not for me.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't Waste Your Money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, May 15, 2005

We purchased three of these to deter birds from nesting in and around our barn. After spending close to $150 on what are essentially oversized beach balls, there was no effect whatsoever on the birds. I have since heard this from others as well. If you really feel the need to try these, you can pretty much create the same thing with a dollar-store beach ball, a can of orange spray paint and some kids stickers. If you still feel the need to try the real thing, I'll send you mine.

Placed this silly thing in our pool to try and scare Coots from swimming in our pool and pooping in our yard. Doesn't work, bought a pellet gun instead using destroyer pellets...that works!

This did not work as well as they said. I had to make it move whenever I saw the birds in the tree next to the Terror eyes! That defeats the purpose of course.

It appears to work but it loses the air in a matter or hours which makes it ineffective. How many times would you put in air into the "ball" in a day? Wish it contained the air at least for a week! If you can put up with airing the ball at least once a day, and for effective purposes - 2/3 times a day ... this would be a good product for you. If not, don't bother :(
