I am surprised it's a commercial product. Even in the "quiet" mode, it's
too noisy. I bought this to repel raccoons and squirrels, but it annoyed my family and neighbors. It's not as the product description said "The noise is intolerable to pests yet friendly to pets and humans". Finally, I returned it and I paid double shipping fee to get rid of this product. If you have 10 acres backyard, it may be powerful to repel most of creature, otherwise, don't think about it.

Bird-X TX-PRO Transonic Pest Repeller,

I bought a TX-PRO about a year ago (2007.) I'd acquired a little sports car over the summer and had cleaned out a detached garage to accommodate it. Friends and neighbors mentioned the damage that squirrels and mice had done to stored cars and motorcycles over past winters. I sat the unit on a table near an outlet, on the driver's side of the car. It's been running ever since. I change the frequency and volume every now and then. No damage or nests of any kind have been found. The entire garage remains in pristine condition. Pests of all kinds have found other places to live.
I bought second unit a couple of weeks ago (2008.) I'd heard gnawing sounds coming from under a staircase one chilly afternoon. A quick inspection of the nearest outside wall revealed missing pieces of grout between the basement door sill and the foundation - large enough for a field mouse. Initially, I pulled the first TX-PRO from the garage and set it up on the stairs to chase the mouse before making repairs. It worked! I decided to order a second unit as a spare for the garage, but then put it to work full-time in the basement after it arrived. The TX-PRO is effective. It has no moving parts. It consumes little power. It doesn't bother my beagle, although he certainly can hear it. My first unit has been tested at length, but only at higher volumes in a detached garage. I can't see it being used in a residence at these levels as it is clearly audible and annoying to humans (sort of like a non-stop cicada.) Therefore, I can recommend the TX-PRO for outdoor use right now. We will see how it does indoors at the "quiet" setting this winter.

It's hard for me to believe that this great product gets negative reviews. They are either not using it correctly or are expecting something else. This Rodent repeller does indeed work and will keep them out wherever it is at. I have bought several of them over the years and several from this vendor right here on amazon and even keep a spare just in case one gives out, in which never has yet. I had a mouse problem at my residence and for the life of me can't figure out how they're getting in... It got so bad that I was trapping several of them within a weeks time. I tried several of the plug in electronic models on the market and they did nothing and continued trapping them despite I had them all over the house. I bought the Bird-X Transonic Pro and put in my kitchen, as that where it appears where they get in and where they were sighted most of the time... Well, low and behold the mice disappeared. I haven't seen a mouse since I put this device in employment. I set it on a kitchen counter top and it works throughout the whole house... The secret is, is to have your doors open so that the sound can infiltrate all the rooms. Works like a charm... I even left my traps set up for several days after turning on the unit and they were gone! No more trappings or mice... I turn this on every day when I leave the house and that's enough to keep them out! OK, for those that say it's loud. Yes it's loud but that's how it does it. The screech this unit puts out, is what drives them out. They simply don't like this sound and will not set-up camp any where this unit is set up... You have to turn on the unit when you are away for the day. You will not be able to have it on while you're in the same area, or at home, so don't get the idea that you can, yes, it's loud and has different settings too. To repel mice, the medium setting works just fine and has a second selector switch for rodents and depending what you're trying to repel has different selections. Another plus is that I haven't seen a spider or any other insect since this unit has been in employment. No webs to clean anywhere. My house is spotless of such creatures of all kinds. I recently seen a mouse at my business out in the garage area where there is much stock and boxes everywhere... I haven't seen a mouse or evidence of in the 21 years I have owned the building. I immediately went and got one of the Transonic Pro out of storage and set it up in there and turned it on... I hope it will get rid of the darn things before they take over. That's all I need is to have a rodent problem in this area as there are many boxes of stock everywhere and it would be a night-mare. I ordered another one of these units yesterday from this vendor to have as a spare and if also things get worse and they get in the main section of the building. If used properly, these units work great and will make the atmosphere turbulent for mice and they will not settle in and will drive them out. Yes traps do work but why make them feel cozy enough to settle in to trap. Drive them out before they do with the Transonic-Pro... Yes, they do work but you have to run it when you're not home or in an area where you can't hear it, depending on what you're trying to repel. Good luck and I hope this gives you an idea as to how the Transonic-Pro works. I have turned this unit on every day when I leave for work for several years and have been rodent and insect free since and now have one set-up at the garage section at my business as well and hope that, that little beast excited the same way he got in, I hate those things and make me jump too...LOL... Good Luck All!

Disappointed,
I purchase the Pest Repeller to chase off a squirrel that was living between a ceiling and floor. It left for a day or two of me putting the repeller upstairs but it has since returned and seems un-affected by the repeller. I have moved it to different locations and the squirrel just moves to a differnt area further away.
I may just have a stubbron squirrel, but am disappointed since I've had to call for professional assistance.

It does work,
By B Alden (Ca) - See all my reviews It does work, though. No more pocket gophers under the house. And an extra plus of no more spiders down there either. I just bought another for the garage.

SEEMS TO WORK FOR BATS,
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
We have a history of large colonies of bats in our area, and our house. I sealed all the entry points I could find. Our house is 120 yrs old, so there are areas that just seem to be impossible to find them all, except for the bats.
I put one in the attic and one in the basement. Its been over a month and not a bat, I cant say its for sure these units, but with the problems I was having to none so far I have to think that they are working. There are 3 different levels of sound, I have to put it on the weakest setting and still no problems. If I have any bats I will post. For the money and no hassles yet its worth a shot.

Worth It's Weight In Gold - It Works!,

I ordered this product about 7 days ago. There were no previous reviews for it so I decided to take a chance on it. It has different settings for raccoons, skunks, squirrels, bats, rats, mice and crawling or flying insects. I bought the transonic pro due to mice and rat infestations in my home. I haven't seen or heard any mice in my home since the day I plugged the transonic pro into my wall outlet. I heard a mouse scrambling to exit my premises shortly after I plugged in the transonic pro. I haven't heard any mice or rats crawling in my walls or ceilings since 2/6/07. This product Works! It can be used indoors and outdoors provided it is protected from moisture during outdoor usage. The transonic pro covers a minimum area of 2,500 sq. feet.
The only downside to transonic pro I'm aware of at the moment is that I didn't receive any warranty or product life information about the product. I intend to look into that further. The transonic pro pest repeller is rather noisy but it certainly repels pests. I'm gonna move mine to my crawl area to escape from the noise. This repeller can also be used in attics, roof eaves and even commercial and warehouse facilities. The transonic pro is an excellent repeller to use until you get around to closing up known entry points where rodents invade your home. Highly recommended! Buying this product is money well spent! Get yourself a rodent repeller that works if you need one!

Excellent Product. Top Notch! I purchased two of these machines last year and have moved them from place to place to help with many different problems.
This year we are working on Mosquitoes, flies, etc. Today I am purchasing 2 more unites. One for my bedroom and one for the front porch. We have them in the dog kennels and no more mice hurray. Mice no longer get into my clothing, and spiders are a thing of the past. The only drawback is the noise. It is great for insects, because the silent mode works nicely. But for the mice the noise is quite loud, and I have turned it off because of that problem. Putting them on a timer so the loud noise is at night when we are not in that area, seems to work magic. We have tried other products and this is the best one for the home that we have found so far. Cordia www.sweetshimas.com Puppy Kisses Given Here. |
