Acoustic and splendid, May 9, 2010

Anybody who liked the Avengers will be amazed at how Penelope Houston made a 180 degree shift from punk rock to acoustic music. I hesitate to call this "folk", even though it is somewhat folk influenced, because the songs are edgier than most folk songs. With production by Snakefinger and a cool song about Harry Dean Stanton, this is worth checking out. Just don't expect any shouting or electric guitars.
