My unit had one of the side pieces warped (curved) so wouldn't fit correctly when assembled. The manufacturing tolerances/dimensions were apparently made for zero clearance to the unit so the machined grooves (designed to accept and hold the assembly on the detector) were really not functional. Basically, it is a three-sided gizmo with a roof, which is all that is needed and is very poor quality. However, it does do the intended job if great care is taken to fit the box around the detector when assembling the device. One of the screws was malformed and had to be replaced and there were no pilot holes in the mating surfaces so that allows you to position the various pieces for a snug fit when assembling the device. Generally poor quality but it will do the intended job - hide the detector and give extra protection from the elements.

I have reviewed this product twice but they have not appeared at this time. Parts of are poorly matched. This item needs better quality control.

This product serves two purposes, the obvious one is to disguise your motion detector as a birdhouse, the other is to further waterproof the device. The reason I gave it only 3 stars is because it comes with 7 screws to hold it together, but only 3 pre-drilled holes(at least that's how mine came)causing you to have to drill your own and turning a relatively easy project into a risky and time consuming endeavor.

This is a very unobvious bird house that hides security alarm. Not much to be said but is works and is not easily noticed.

I have had this unit in operation for about 4 weeks and it works great. The birdhouse units are easy to assemble and it provides great protection for the MURS transmitters.. The service was great. Received the units in record time. I would do business with this seller again.

This is exactly what I wanted. On mine, all holes were pre drilled. The wood is not real thick but I feel like I got my $13 worth. I am a 55 year old woman and had no trouble figuring out how to assemble. Not a lot of instruction but didn't feel they were necessary. Took me less than 5 minutes to put together. I spent more time hunting for my cordless drill. No regrets on my purchase and it looks great mounted on my wooden fence post.

I bought two of these out of laziness instead of building my own. They work as designed but I could have saved money by building them myself. The redwood actually should last a long time and they were easy to put together though.

This thing is a piece of crude workmanship and is a crime. The cedar was cut different lengths on the two sides. The roof was bowed and the internal grooves did not allow enough room between them and the front panel to fit the optic. Looking at this pile of wood, I thought I was taking a creative art class test. The fits left gaps and I could only imagine the summer time fighting off hornets that had found a new home. I feel sorry to think some poor soul was probably paid pennies to make something they didn't understand. We need to get back to basics in this country and make our own products with pride.

very easy,pieces fit,you don't really need instructions.a six year old can assemble,or maybe even my dog.it fits over transmitter like a glove.

i use this to cover my motion alarms on my very long driveway. It is easy to assemble and disguises the sensors very well. I think as it ages, it will even look better.
