good and creepy,

i found this first novel to be very good indeed - i tend to shy away from 'police procedurals', which i find rather boring and also from the 'quirky cop' whose ever increasing range of quirkiness i find intensely irritating - however this novel has both and neither are boring. But i have to tell you, her second novel is extraordinarily disturbing, and you should read this one first to get the full picture of her 'hero'.
