As a gift, this small volume it should please any bird or art lover. The whimsical illustrations are impossible to resist, so make certain to buy a copy for yourself!

A well done painting of each chosen speices and notes that include a detail unique to that particular bird. A little piece of joy during a long dark winter.

Jeff Fisher's illustrations are gorgeous and anyone that appreciates a beautiful book would love this, also such a good price it's great for a gift!

This is a lovely book. I leave it out on my coffee table and pick it up, look at the art, and read a few profiles. It's not a "read it and shelve it" book, it's more of an art piece. Also, don't expect a bird watcher'd refernce, or every detail to be addressed here. As the artist states in the book, it's more for "the love of birds" than it is a definitive guide. This would make a great gift for a bird or art lover.
